Our trophy case is getting full! 🏆 Loka has now achieved the AWS Migration Competency, giving us SIX total competencies in the last 18 months. We’re too modest to include so many emojis in one LI post. With the Migration Competency, AWS recognizes Loka as a partner that “provides solutions or has deep experience helping businesses move successfully to AWS, through all phases of complex migration projects, discovery, planning, migration and operations." To which we say yes, that's us. Are you ready to let Loka guide you onto the cloud? #AWS #Migration #AWSPartner https://lnkd.in/gRDQTWyN

About us
What you develop matters. At least we think so. We're Loka, a remote software consultancy based in Silicon Valley that moves innovations to market faster. We help build the apps, deploy the tech, and ideate innovations for fascinating startups – the kind with an impatience to make an impact and funding from premier VCs including Sequoia, Greylock and Menlo Ventures. Our full-cycle team of elite engineers, developers, and designers also work behind the scenes with Fortune 500s such as Coca-Cola, Dyson, Gatorade, and Novartis. If you’ve enjoyed products from these brands in the last 17 years, odds are we’ve helped them with innovations along the way. We’re curious, experience obsessed, and remote first. And we’re always looking for talent who love to be challenged. We make sure every Lokal feels equipped to upskill. So much so that when we're not launching products for clients, we're developing our own innovations in LokaLabs™ - our internal R&D. LokaLabs™ gives Lokals a chance to play with moonshot technologies to solve persistent and underserved societal challenges. One of our latest releases is LokaPulse™ (loka.com/lokapulse), an app born from our teammates that determines your heart rate from a selfie. Want to join the team? Need talent now? Reach out.

🧬✨What if the future of healthcare is already here? Earlier this week, we had the privilege of discussing this very idea with some incredible people from AWS and the healthcare and life sciences (HCLS) sector at the Waterbar in San Francisco 🌟 Our CEO Bobby Mukherjee had the opportunity to engage with leaders on all sides. It was inspiring to discuss the innovative ways HCLS pioneers are leveraging GenAI and BioLLMs - not for a distant theoretical "someday" but for today. The possibilities of HCLS looks brighter than ever, and we're thrilled to be part of this journey with such a dynamic AWS team. Looking forward to more conversations and collaborations that drive the next wave of innovation Eric Zimmerman, Heli Maldonado, Matt Pearson, Tony Cerqueira, Ujjwal Ratan, Jillian Forde, Lindsay Smith, Michelle S., Ori Neidich, Kris Fleming, Marcel Frenkel, PhD, Mark Hallen, Matthew Ko, Imran Qureshi, Eddie Abrams, Coleman Stavish🚀 #HCLS #AWS #GenAI #BioLLMs #Healthcare #LifeSciences AWS for Healthcare & Life Sciences Amazon Web Services (AWS) Loka

PyCon Colombia 2024 wrapped up in beautiful Medellín last weekend after three full days of all things Python. Eager participants came in from across the globe, and we're still thinking about the crucial insights we absorbed and the talented people we hung out with 🍻 Many Lokals left a big impression on the PyCon audience, including expert presenters Alejandro Gómez Montoya, Juan Bernardo Benavides Rubio, Daniela Isaza and María Fernanda Rojas Castro, plus Carlos Alejandro Jiménez Holmquist and José Ribón, who generated major action with their Lego giveaways from the Loka booth! Additional props to Isa Monsalve, Valentina Ayala Ramírez, Juliana Silva Cortés, Matea Londza Shumkovska, Juan Pablo Medina Escudero and Daniel Goldberg 👋 for putting so much creativity and enthusiasm into ensuring Loka made a splash at the event. Feels good to be an integral part of such a talented, tight-knit and hardworking community 🤝 We're already looking forward to the next installment. See you at PyCon 2025! #PyCon #Python #CodersUnite

👏🏽 Sometimes you've got to celebrate your CEO. Here's to our fearless leader, Bobby Mukherjee, who's been lending his limited time to the next wave of Stanford University visionaries and world-changers 🌎
Great final presentation day for Stanford University's Lean Launchpad (ENGR 245) I had the pleasure of mentoring the Emy.AI team (Max Kanwal,Maria Damian,AJ Phillips,Kathrin Gerpheide,Mateo H. Petel) who are doing some really innovative work with in-ear EEG, starting with the biohacking community. If you're interested in learning more, DM me and I'll put you in touch. Thanks to Todd Basche for running a fantastic mentor program and to Professor Steve Blank for captaining the whole operation!

Loka reposted this
I'm thrilled to share that I recently had the honour of being a guest lecturer at Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering - Skopje It was an amazing opportunity to engage with passionate students and discuss more about automation testing and testing practices in general in the IT industry. During the lecture, we talked more on the topic “Modern Automation Testing with Cypress," testing real-world applications, and exploring current trends in the automation testing world. A heartfelt "Thank you" to the academic society and people engaged into Software Quality and Testing subjects for the warm invitation and big kudos to Loka and Trajche Kocev for giving me this opportunity to contribute to the academic community and inspire future professionals.
