Driving change! 🚗 🐢 This year, Loggerhead Marinelife Center received more than $27,000 from the Florida Sea Turtle Grants Program. These funds purchased endoscopy equipment, used for minimally invasive diagnostic and surgical procedures for sea turtle patients in LMC's hospital. Caring and nurturing our patients is our mission! 🐢💙 Check out Falafel! A subadult loggerhead found floating near the Jensen Beach Causeway. Falafel had a front flipper amputation and a large hook located in the mouth. Their current treatment is antibiotics, iron, and wound care. #lmc #loggerheadmarinelifecenter #loggerhead #falafel #seaturtleconservation

Meet Moose, the tough-as-shell subadult loggerhead sea turtle! 🐢💪 After being found by Inwater Research Group with a boat strike injury, Moose underwent surgery with Dr. Barron who repaired his carapace with screws, wire, and a bone plate. Now, he's on the road to recovery with pain meds and antibiotics. 💙 Show Moose some love! You can support Loggerhead Marinelife Center by “adopting” a sea turtle patient, like Moose, starting at just $40. Your adoption directly benefits the continued care and treatment of our sick and injured sea turtles. #lmc #loggerheadmarinelifecenter #loggerhead #moose #boatstrike #seaturtleconservation 📸 :@marisamarulli
