Creating Bold Customer Promises and Profits by Maximizing Business Performance in the Supply Chain

About us

Manufacturers and distributors hire us to provide expertise and advice on their end-to-end supply chain strategy and business transformation. Our practice focuses on aligning the customers’ needs with the optimal strategies, resources and systems infrastructure to maximize the customer experience, cash flow and profit. Our passion is collaborating with companies to create bold customer promises and profits simultaneously and rapidly – achieving the “win-win-win”! Improving the customer experience, aligning sales, operations and finance to maximize business value, enhancing end-to-end supply chain performance, and enabling rapid growth and change with scalable infrastructure (people, processes and systems) are sweet spots. We are recognized as experts in SIOP (sales & operations planning), supply chain network analysis, demand planning and master scheduling, operational performance improvement and selecting and leveraging technologies such as ERP systems. However, we often use none of these in our most successful engagements. Instead, we tailor our efforts to what will drive results. We’ve advised closely-held, private-equity backed and multi-billion dollar, global organizations in industries as diverse as aerospace and defense, building and industrial products, food and beverage, consumer products and healthcare products. SAP ranked our founder, Lisa Anderson, as a Top 46 Supply Chain Influencer, and Washington Frank recognized her as a Top 50 ERP Influencer. She has spoken at global conferences such as the Global Supply Chain & Logistics Summit, APICS and the Drucker Supply Chain Forum, and she has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, ABC News and CEO Magazine. Her book, I’ve Been Thinking: Turning Everyday Interactions into Profitable Opportunities is a daily inspiration of new thinking to raise the bar and thrive in today’s competitive, fast-paced, 24/7 marketplace. • The shift in consumer demand has underscored the importance of customer-centric supply chains. By prioritizing customer experience and leveraging data, AI and machine learning, businesses can create more responsive and flexible supply chains. Gartner reports that 83% of supply chain leaders focus on improving customer experience through digital strategies. Gartner's four-step approach to a customer-centric supply chain includes: 1️⃣Establish a CX Mindset with end-to-end visibility. 2️⃣Measure Performance with traditional and new metrics. 3️⃣Analyze CX Insights for valuable data. 4️⃣Take Action based on insights. Ignoring this shift can be costly. Embracing customer-centric strategies gives companies a competitive edge. #SupplyChain #CustomerCentric #DataDriven #CustomerExperience

  • Canada's border agents and the federal government recently reached a tentative agreement, averting a potential strike that could have severely disrupted supply chains and logistics at crucial international gateways. The work-to-rule campaign by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) workers had already caused significant delays at major border points, with commercial wait times extending to over five hours in some areas. The delays particularly impacted truckers and commercial shippers, underscoring the critical role of border agents in maintaining smooth cross-border trade and logistics. The settlement helps prevent a prolonged labor dispute, which could have further strained the logistics sector already dealing with pandemic-related challenges. #CanadianBorder #Trucking #Logistics

  • The solar industry faces significant supply chain disruptions due to a petition for new antidumping and countervailing duties on solar cell imports from Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. This could lead to increased volatility and higher costs, affecting the logistics and stability of solar product availability. With much of the U.S. solar market dependent on imports, any changes in tariff policies can cause ripple effects, leading to delays, increased costs and a re-evaluation of supply chain strategies. Companies must stay agile and informed, anticipating changes that could affect logistics, pricing and overall market stability. A diversified supply chain and strategic partnerships are crucial in navigating these challenges. Additionally, leveraging advanced technologies and maintaining transparent communication with stakeholders can help mitigate the impact of these potential disruptions. #SolarIndustry #SupplyChain #USSolarMarket

  • Supply chain leaders are increasingly diversifying across global regions to reduce risks and enhance flexibility. With geopolitical tensions rising, costs escalating, and anticipated shockwaves in critical markets, exploring new regions, like India, is crucial for creating resilient supply chain. India, projected to be the world's third-largest economy by 2027, offers a strategic location, a large English-speaking STEM workforce and low operating costs. Government incentives further support manufacturing, attracting companies like Apple and Foxconn. Supply chain leaders are looking at India’s potential as they work towards having a resilient, diversified supply chain. #SupplyChain #IndiaEmergingMarket #2024Trends

  • Many firms are gearing up and taking advantage of the near-shoring initiatives taking place in Mexico. UPS, for example, is making significant moves to capitalize on these opportunities. This shift not only promises reduced transportation costs and quicker delivery times but also enhances supply chain resilience by mitigating risks associated with longer, more complex supply chains. As Mexico continues to improve its infrastructure and economic policies, it is becoming an increasingly attractive destination for companies looking to optimize their logistics and manufacturing processes. The trend is clear: near-shoring in Mexico will continue to be a significant part of the supply chain landscape, offering a competitive edge to forward-thinking businesses. #SupplyChain #Nearshoring #SupplyChainResilience
