"I'm in a Dominican household, so any Dominican knows that we all fall when a family member falls. Most importantly, they gave me their love. The love of a Hispanic household is like no other. My mom stood by me in every single appointment and is the story's real hero. As a single mom of four with exceptional children and two jobs, my wonderful sisters and I are all first-generation students. I'm so proud to walk this life now cancer-free, amongst the line of Dominican American professionals; my story, my family, and other cancer relief organizations such as The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) that have empowered me." Mya was diagnosed at 17 years old with stage 2a bulk Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) and was able to benefit from the services provided by LLS. Still, it's her story that can help create lasting change and support within the blood cancer community. #HispanicHeritageMonth 🤎 Read Mya’s #BloodCancer story 👉 https://bit.ly/3ZKDLUb
