Starting in our Early Career Program as an intern fresh out of college, Alberto Ponce advanced to a Project Engineer role within five months in our Tulsa Business Unit. Today, he holds the position of Project Lead at the Stillwater Fire Department Project, marking a significant five-year concrete construction journey at Lithko. Alberto attributes his rapid growth to a steadfast commitment to continuous improvement. "For me, it's been like doing layout one day and running a job the next. That's how quickly I've progressed within the concrete contractor," he reflects. His success at Lithko stems from his dedication to excellence in every role he takes on. "I see every opportunity as a chance to advance," Alberto explains. Whether mastering carpentry or leading a concrete construction crew, he approaches challenges with enthusiasm and determination. A pivotal moment in Alberto's career highlights his proactive approach and willingness to take on responsibility. "Alberto took upon him himself to take charge of night concrete pours, managed time sheets, and supervised saw cuts," recalls his manager, Anthony Villa. Concrete placements exceeded 1,100 cubic yards at LV 15 & 16. Our Allentown team successfully coordinated the simultaneous concrete construction of two buildings, managing concrete large placements with our on-site batch plant. Key features include extended control joints over 100 feet with steel fiber reinforcing in the slab on grade. Building 16 presented a unique challenge with its .27% slope.
