About us

The Lindner Center of HOPE provides patient-centered, scientifically-advanced care for individuals suffering with mental illness. A state-of-the-science, free-standing mental health center, the Lindner Center of HOPE is a charter member of the National Network of Depression Centers. The Center provides psychiatric hospitalization for individuals age 11-years-old and older, outpatient services for all ages, research and voluntary, live-in services. The Center’s clinicians are ranked among the best providers locally, nationally and internationally. Along with the specialties listed below, we also specialize in Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT), Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Brain Imaging, Psychopharmacology, and Psychotherapy.

    Meet Anna Guerdjikova, PhD, LISW, CCRC! Dr. Guerdjikova serves as a staff licensed social worker for Lindner Center of HOPE, with primary focus in the treatment of adult patients with eating and mood disorders. Her roles include Director for Administrative Services within the Harold C. Schott Foundation Eating Disorders Program, therapist for outpatient and partial hospitalization programs, inpatient group facilitator, and consultant for LCOH residential units. Lindner Center is fortunate to have Dr. Guerdjikova's bright mind dedicated to serving our patients and innovating treatment solutions!

    We are thrilled to share that $170,000 was raised at An Evening of HOPE, hosted by High Hopes, Lindner Center of HOPE’s fundraising auxiliary, on May 30th. A heartfelt thank you goes to Kevin Hines for sharing his inspiring story at the event and to Amy Russert & Blake Gustafson for co-chairing. Every dollar raised will directly support Lindner Center of HOPE’s Transforming HOPE Campaign, enabling the Center to expand treatment units, wellness facilities, and clinical staff to serve more individuals battling mental illness.     Meet Susan L. McElroy, MD, esteemed Chief Research Officer and Consultant to the Eating Disorders team at Lindner Center of HOPE. Dr. McElroy emphasizes, "Mental illness is an enormous public health problem. We need greater focus on insight—on how to know you have a mental illness. If a person knows they have a mental illness, they will do better." Internationally renowned for groundbreaking research in eating disorders, bipolar disorder, obesity, and more, she has an impressive portfolio of over 400 scientific papers in leading medical journals. Recognized with numerous awards and honors, she has solidified her reputation as a trailblazer in mental health research and treatment. As Chief Research Officer, she currently oversees multiple studies in mood, anxiety, eating, and impulse control disorders, as well as genetics and psychopharmacology.
