February marks Black History Month in the US. This is an important time for us to reflect on the social, political and economic contributions of African Americans to the world. At Lucid, we are committed to providing a culture of conscious inclusion to colleagues of all races, ethnicities and nationalities. This commitment is enshrined in our group wide inclusion policy and is part of our vision to embed equity into everything we do.  #BHM  #blackhistorymonth

As Lighthouse Medical Communications US turns 10 years old this week, Lisa Druce shares her reflections on their journey so far... “As we celebrate 10 years of Lighthouse, I wanted to take a moment to celebrate this tremendously talented team and the amazing work they do every day to delight our clients. Our business has grown and evolved significantly over recent years, bringing many successes (and of course a few challenges!) along the way. One constant has been the unwavering commitment of the team, coupled with a desire to always find the best solutions to our clients problems. I have no doubt this will allow us to continue to strengthen and unlock new opportunities in the future”.

We are passionate about Transforming Lives. Always. December 3rd marked  the International Day of Persons With Disabilities (as recognised by the UN). This day provides an important moment of reflection on how we are creating an accessible culture at Lucid. We are committed to providing a compassionately human culture, where everyone is empowered to bring their whole self to work and achieve their full potential. This commitment extends to supporting candidates with disabilities in the recruitment process to ensure an inclusive experience. Supporting people with disabilities is the cornerstone of our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy (DE&I). We see a natural link between our mission of transforming lives through meaningful health outcomes and creating an accessible world for everyone. Did you know… ·     1.3 billion people globally live with a disability – that is 16% of the world’s population ·     Anyone can be impacted by disability at any point in their lives. Over 80% of people with disabilities acquired disability later in life; fewer than 20% were born with a disability Progress in our accessibility journey ·     Joining the UK Government’s Disability Confident scheme (Level 1) and activating the scheme commitments (including offering a guaranteed interview to candidates with a disability who meet the essential criteria for the role) ·     Partnering with the Drexel University Center for Autism and Neurodiversity in Philadelphia to provide inclusion training for our people ·     Creating a group-wide inclusion policy that explicitly prohibits discrimination, bullying or harassment on the grounds of disability or neurodiversity ·     Using the Equity Sequence to embed equity by design into everything we do at Lucid (the Equity Sequence has been developed by the amazing team at Tidal Equality) ·     Proactively offering adjustments and accommodations as part of the recruitment process to ensure that all candidates receive the support they need ·     Hosting a panel to mark World Mental Health Day, where our people shared their experiences of mental health and discussed how we can break the social stigma surrounding the topic Fran Elkington (Medical Editor at Lucid Group) shares here reflections on our culture of accessibility: "My quality of life has vastly improved since I’ve joined the company, and it’s not just because they provide me with what I need to comfortably do my job – it’s also because the attitude towards inclusion is so calm, straightforward and compassionate. It's a whole different mindset here, and the benchmark all companies should hold themselves to if they’re truly inclusive. Accessibility should always be this easy." Interested in joining us? We are always looking for new talent to join us, and we’re committed to providing an inclusive recruitment experience to candidates with physical or mental health conditions.  #lucidlife  #accessibility  #compassionatelyhuman

Lucid were proud to attend our first UN Global Compact Summit today. We explored how we can evolve our sustainability strategy through a series of discussions with business, political and NGO thought leaders in the ESG space. We heard how urgent action is needed for the private sector to embed the UN Sustainable Development Goals into everything we do, if we are to collectively address the climate and social challenges facing the world today. We will be taking action to embed the recommendations of today's conference by: 1) Evolving the calculation of our Green House Gas (GHG) methodology to build on our 51% reduction of our scope 1 GHG emissions between 2019 and 2022 2) Looking at our supply chain to ensure we are taking action against modern slavery and to partner with suppliers who are also taking climate action We will be holding ourselves accountable for action through our annual progress report which we will submit to the UN in 2024. #sustainability #compassionatelyhuman Dennis O'Brien , Maica Pons Bryony Evans and James Haq-Myles
