On June 7, LifeWorks hosted its annual graduation ceremony at Delaware Valley University where 24 students graduated with their certificates of completion. Graduates were recognized in front of staff, fellow classmates, as well as families. The ceremony included a student performance of the Star-Spangled Banner, the Pledge of Allegiance, an ASL performance of “You Raise Me Up,” and a choir performance of “Stand by Me.” Three graduates remarked on their time at LifeWorks and made note of their future goals. One graduate stated, “At LifeWorks, I didn’t feel silenced. I have friends here who care about me. I have a school counselor and appreciate the academic flexibility. I am welcomed and supported by the friendly staff and students.” Additionally, three students were awarded the President’s Award for Educational Achievement was given to two seniors who displayed significant growth and resiliency despite many obstacles they faced. Again this year, we were honored to provide one student with the Senate of Pennsylvania’s Citizenship Award. In addition, a LifeWorks Achievement Award was earned by one senior who exemplified LifeWorks’ pillars of self-control, manners, accountability, respect, and teamwork throughout their tenure at our school. We are so proud of our graduates and are excited to see what is to come!
