As Jesse Hawthorne completes his third week as our new President, we are excited to see his leadership in action across Leviat. In just a short time, Jesse has already visited three of our key locations, connecting with teams and gaining valuable insights that will drive our future growth and innovation. This week Jesse visited Leviat sites at Ternat, Buggenhout and Londerzeel in Belgium, witnessing our manufacturing, including our state-of-the-art robotics facilities. In addition, he was updated on local safety initiatives and progress as we prepare for our upcoming Leviat Safety Week. This week, we welcomed our new President, Jesse Hawthorne, to our Langenfeld site in Germany and our Sheffield and Deeside sites in the UK. Since joining CRH in 2018 Jesse has been President of Oldcastle APG Canada West and most recently President of Oldcastle APG, North Region overseeing multiple operating companies in both Canada and the US.   Bringing his over 20 years Industry and CRH experience to Leviat, Jesse’s visits have been a real opportunity for us to showcase the progress and achievements of our dedicated teams, meeting members of staff and engaging in several factory tours. His visit has provided the opportunity to interact with Jesse personally and be inspired regarding Leviat’s future goals and ambitions. We believe that People are our biggest asset where Inclusion & Diversity is the key to building a consistently highly engaged and high performing culture across our entire Leviat network.  To accomplish this, we must always keep in mind that inclusion and diversity starts with the behaviors and actions that “we” the Leviat team members exhibit on a daily basis.  On the back of celebrating #Pride month during June, today we have held Leviat's first Global I&D Town Hall. This brought together our global network of c.70 champions spanning 15 different countries, to connect, learn and share best practices. Today we looked back on some of the great work we did to support #mentalhealthawareness and more local events such as #Nationalaboriginals' and Islanders' Day Observance that is celebrated in our Casino, Australia location. We also launched a new I&D charter with the support of the International I&D champions Floris Kramers and Gloria Glang to refresh Leviat's I&D council. Today, Leviat is launching an innovative dry connection system in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Poland and Sweden. Estella Matemu and Christopher Hurd represented Leviat this week at the CRH Innovation Center for Sustainable Construction where they joined leaders from nearly twenty CRH businesses for a two-day Innovation Workshop. The group worked to identify ways to more easily replicate best-practices across organizations and explored the emerging technologies and industry innovations that will provide added value for CRH's customers now and in the future. #ImagineModelMake

Looking back to last week's Mental Health Awareness Week, it's essential to reflect on the importance of nurturing a supportive workplace environment. Poppy-Addison-Camm, HR VP at Leviat, aptly states, “By engaging in open conversations about mental health, offering resources, and championing well-being programs, we create the opportunity to reflect on the importance of our own, and others, mental wellbeing. Mental health is a journey, not a destination.” This year, Leviat demonstrated its commitment to mental health awareness on a global scale. We provided a variety of tools and daily virtual sessions to encourage everyone to dedicate time to their mental well-being. From Mindfulness and Pilates session,s to self-care workshops, we saw fantastic participation from our staff in these diverse activities. We will continue these efforts beyond this week, ensuring that mental health remains a priority every day.
