#Scholarship deadline extended to July 5th! The League of Railway Women (LRW) is dedicated to advancing the representation, recognition, and opportunities for women in the rail industry. One of the key ways we further our mission is through our annual scholarship program. We encourage everyone to share these fantastic opportunities with interns and students passionate about the rail industry. Introducing the Sue Black Memorial Scholarship, new in 2024! Sponsored by The Greenbrier Companies, this scholarship is valued at $5,000 USD. It's open to women pursuing a graduate or undergraduate degree in the rail industry who demonstrate financial need. The Connie Sumara Memorial Scholarship honors the memory of our former LRW president. Valued at $5,000 USD, it's available to women currently employed by a railroad or railway-related business and pursuing a graduate or undergraduate degree. The Future of Railroading Scholarship offers $3,000 USD to students pursuing a graduate or undergraduate degree with a strong interest in supporting the rail industry. Don’t miss out! The application deadline for all three scholarships is July 5th, with winners announced in August. https://bit.ly/3Nc7SvU We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our generous corporate partner sponsors for making these scholarships possible.
