Our STS team recently hosted a PTSD Awareness 2k walk for staff and patients, and we were happy to partner with local business HTeaO for refreshments. Our campuses came together to support those affected by PTSD by raising awareness and promoting understanding. Everyone had an amazing time supporting the cause, staying hydrated, boosting their metabolism, and engaging in a positive, social, and sober environment. Whether you walk, run, or cheer from the sidelines, everyone can make a difference! #ptsdawareness

Clarissa, our Community Liaison, and Dora, our Manager of Military Dependent Services, were happy to participate in the CCIT Resource Fair at NISD Alternative Middle School. The event gave us an opportunity to share information about our programs with all the hardworking School Resource Officers in attendance. Clarissa also did a great job providing an educational PTSD training for all attendees.

As our summer outings continue, our residential treatment patients attended an outing to Monster Mini Golf! They were able to play on a glow-in-the-dark mini golf course, and try their hand at a ton of fun arcade games. Outings like these allow our patients to have fun while working on social skills, practicing positive decision-making, and learning how to deal with healthy stressors.
