As a Director of Legal Recruiting and Placement within our Tampa office, Jorge will match top-tier attorneys with sophisticated roles in legal departments and law firms in Tampa Bay and across the U.S. Jorge brings extensive experience leading legal teams across real estate, hospitality, and resort vacation ownership industries. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President, Chief Legal and Compliance Officer, with Bluegreen Vacations in Boca Raton, managing a 20-associate legal department and successfully navigating a $1.5 billion sale to Hilton Grand Vacations. Jorge began his legal career as a real estate associate at BakerHostetler LLP in Orlando, counseling vacation ownership companies like Hyatt, Disney, and Starwood on hospitality, resort development, and timeshare law. He earned his J.D. from the University of Florida Frederic G. Our recent Q1 2024 trends report revealed a slight dip in demand for flexible data privacy and security engagement attorneys compared to Q1 2023. However, anecdotal evidence suggests the ongoing importance of expertise in data privacy and security within corporate organizations. Looking at our quantitative data together with qualitative insights suggests to us that demand for data privacy and security attorneys remains strong, though the strategies organizations use to meet these talent needs are evolving.
