This initiative assesses the European laser community, providing crucial insights into the services offered by Research Infrastructures (RIs) and understanding the evolving needs of users across the continent. 📣 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐫-𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 Laserlab-Europe organises a training event at the Laser Plasma and Photonic Processes laboratory (LP3 UMR 7341 CNRS AMU) on the Campus of Luminy, Marseille (France). ➡ The training will provide the attendees with a close-up and fully-immersing experience into the reality of an advanced research experimental technique and the true step-by-step demonstration of printing of micrometre pixels and/or a simple electronic device on an adapted substrate. The next events will be held on 9 October 2024, 13 November 2024 and later on demand. 🚀 Last week, the fastMOT consortium held its second in-person meeting at ICFO in Castelldefels, a coastal suburb of Barcelona. On the one hand, micro-structured materials are used for inertial confinement #fusion, particle acceleration, X-ray generation, study of the equations of state. Nano-structured materials, on the other hand, find many applications in particle acceleration physics with ultrashort lasers. This Workshop is intended to be the place to discuss the different aspects of the research with these materials: ◾ Experimental strategies and results ◾ Theoretical modeling and numerical simulations ◾ Material science and manufacturing This workshop is organized by the Laserlab-Europe AISBL Expert Group on "Micro- and nano-structured materials for experiments with high-power lasers" and supported by Laserlab-Europe AISBL.

An important aspect of HHG spectroscopy lies in its coherent nature. The strong-field interaction directly transfers the coherence of the laser field into the coherent properties of the electronic wavefunction that interacts with the field, and back into the optical properties of the emitted harmonics. Resolving the internal coherence is key to reconstructing the internal dynamics, being one of the primary challenges in HHG spectroscopy. As in many other branches of physics, the presence of coherence is determined through interferometry. In this talk, I will describe advanced schemes for attosecond interferometry. The application of these schemes provides direct insights into a range of fundamental phenomena in nature – from field induced tunneling in atomic systems to subcycle dynamics in condense matter systems. #attoscience #webinar #hhg #spectroscopy #laser
