Today we announced a new round of Sands Cares funding for The LGBTQ Center of Southern Nevada to assist in the nonprofit’s continued physical expansion and supports its organizational development work in the exclusive Sands Cares Accelerator, our three-year membership program aimed at advancing nonprofits to deliver greater community impact. More than 2,700 Sands China Team Members celebrated their 10-year, 15-year and 20-year company anniversaries in 2024. This group includes 1,200 founding Team Members who joined Sands Macao around the opening of the resort in 2004. We honor their contributions and celebrate these milestones as a testament to our commitment to being the employer of choice in our regions. That’s why we’ve set an ambition to continue advancing local talent by investing $200 million in workforce development initiatives by 2025. This recognition underscores the impact of our Sands ECO360 global sustainability program, which guides our environmental initiatives in the priority areas of low-carbon transition, waste, water stewardship, and materials and resources. Working with data firm Statista, TIME produced a list of 500 global companies based on a rigorous methodology that examined commitment to the world’s most respected climate programs, emissions and energy consumption, and incorporation of sustainability into company business models. Last Friday, our HBCU students in the Sands Hospitality Immersion Program completed their final day in Las Vegas by returning to our corporate campus for a learning session with our executives who spoke about their careers in a variety of disciplines. We then celebrated their week-long visit in a certificate ceremony with Thurgood Marshall College Fund, and the students finished the day with a tour of Allegiant Stadium. We wish our 15 participants much success as they continue their college journeys and hope this immersion helped shape their future plans!

Day 4: Our Thurgood Marshall College Fund and Sands Hospitality Immersion Program participants enjoyed interactive learning about casino & gaming management at University of Nevada-Las Vegas’s Konami Gaming Lab, where they heard from International Gaming Institute founder Vincent Eade as well as guest dealers who gave an insider view of their daily work.

Last night, we sponsored an event with the ALPFA Las Vegas Chapter featuring our chief sustainability officer Katarina Tesarova. The engaging discussion offered insights from top Las Vegas sustainability leaders and provided networking opportunities for ALPFA’s professional members.
