Last Wednesday, we offered our employees to attend "Lane Night" at our local dirt track, Hartford Motor Speedway, for a fun-filled evening of racing and fireworks with their loved ones. The event brought our employees and the community together for an exciting night. The thrilling races, weather, and amazing fireworks made it memorable! When George Lane established Lane Automotive in 1964, he set out to bring high-performance racing parts to enthusiasts who shared his passion for speed and tire smoke. Starting from a modest storefront, Lane Automotive grew to what many know now as Motor State Distributing. Today, we still maintain the local retail storefront, Lane Automotive, meeting the needs of regional racers, hot rodders, and motorsports fans. Nearly 60 years after George began selling parts out of his garage, Motor State Distributing remains proudly family-owned. This past weekend, we teamed up with several manufacturing partners to support the Silver Lake Sand Dunes Jeep Invasion in Mears, MI! With over 1,000 Jeeps in attendance, we had a great time talking to avid Jeepers and off-road enthusiasts, not to mention distributing $7,000 worth of door prizes thanks to our valued brand partners! This event continues to grow every year and promises to be unmissable. While the visit was primarily to deliver the official 2023 Economic Impact Award, awarded to us and announced in February, it was also an excellent opportunity to give Sarah a brief tour! Reflecting on our 60 years in business, we're grateful for the enduring legacy of our founders, George and Janet Lane. To honor their vision, dedication, and kindness, we're thrilled to announce the inaugural Lane Automotive Founders' Day Cruise-In on Thursday, July 18th, from 4-8 pm! This special event reconnects us with our roots as a local speed shop, born out of George's love for racing. We'll commemorate their contributions with a touching plaque dedication ceremony and celebrate their memory with many of our business partners and local community members throughout the years. Parking for spectators will be extremely limited, as we focus on making this event truly memorable for cruise-in participants. We look forward to a great and fun event to honor the memory and spirit of our founders, George and Janet!

We are pleased to announce that Lane Automotive was honored this morning, February 16th, as the winner of the 2024 Economic Impact Award at the Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber annual business recognition breakfast. The Economic Impact Award is presented to a local business that has made an exceptional contribution to the growth and well-being of the local community. Lane Automotive was one of four nominees this year, with the other three being Express Employment, Indiana Michigan Power, and Midwest Energy Cooperative. The winner was selected through a secret vote by the more than 600 attendees of the breakfast, making this an especially humbling honor. We would like to thank the Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber, the members and supporters of the chamber, and most of all, the hard-working team at Lane Automotive for making this honor a possibility.
