Meet Rudy Nieman, a Maintenance Supervisor at our Spencer, Wisconsin, facility. Rudy is a member of our LOL VETS ERG and a Drill Sergeant in the Army Reserves. Rudy won the Drill Sergeant of the year for the 95th Division this year. Congratulations and thank you for your service, Rudy! "As the 95th Division Drill Sergeant of the year, I represented the Drill Sergeants of the division at the 74th annual 95th Division Legacy Association Reunion. This reunion is held as a formal way to reunite veterans who have served in the famed division and their families. In attendance were multiple retired General Officers, family members of WWII veterans, and two #WWII veterans. The reunion lasted 3 days consisting of visiting the 95th Division Memorial at the Army Reserves Center on Fort Sill, a formal banquet, and a memorial service for all WWII veterans who have passed. After the formal banquet I was blessed to exchange conversations with the veterans of WWII. After discussing battle stories and veteran lingo, conversations quickly led to our civilian employment. My crowd grew listening to my stories of working with Land O'Lakes, Inc. As we talked a crowd member jumped up and retrieved the butter we had previously used “Exclaiming you guys make fantastic butter!” I sadly had to let them down by stating the facility I work at doesn’t make butter but cheese. This was followed by “Of course you make cheese in Wisconsin instead of butter.” You will see in the pictures two fine gentlemen who were among the brave souls to capture Metz, France. One month strong for our 2024 interns! 🐄 💻 🌱 They have been "churning" out excellence working on their projects, collaborating and networking with teams, exploring their new communities, while learning about what it means to be a #cooperative. Raise your hand if you thought Land O'Lakes, Inc. was just a butter company 🙋🏻♀️ a few of us joined our MANRRS scholars at the WinField United Innovation Center this morning to learn all about our crop inputs, seed, and data insights business that impacts >50% of all harvested acres in the U.S. - that’s a lot of ground to cover, helping farmers responsibly produce more from each acre to feed a growing population!
