Landmark Properties is thrilled to announce our latest development in Syracuse, NY - The Standard at Syracuse, a 600 bed, 210-unit student housing community in partnership with W5 Group. Located just one block from Syracuse University's campus, this project will preserve the historic Temple Concord sanctuary while offering students fully furnished residences with private bathrooms, upscale finishes, and extensive amenities. We're excited to announce our latest development in Columbia, SC - a new 197-unit, 826-bed cottage-style student housing community, in partnership with Peninsula Investments Group. Located just 1.3 miles from the University of South Carolina, this amenity-rich community will feature fully furnished residences with private bathrooms, high-end finishes, and a resort-style outdoor pool complex. Construction is set to begin soon, with the community anticipated to open in August 2026 to meet the growing demand for quality student housing near the university. Landmark Properties welcomes City Food Hall to The Mark Athens, bringing a vibrant culinary and entertainment destination to downtown Athens. Last week, the construction team at The Standard at Four Corners celebrated topping out the building's structure - a significant milestone in the project's timeline. Scheduled for delivery in Fall 2025, this premier residential development will offer 890 studio to three-bedroom living spaces with an impressive amenity package including a heated pool and spa, multiple courtyards, and 4,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Last week, The Jed Foundation (JED) released its new emergency preparedness guidebook, “Responding to a Suicide: Postvention Guidance for Student Housing Managers”, in partnership with the College Student Mental Wellness Advocacy Coalition and the Hi, How Are You Project. This much-needed resource equips student housing communities with best practices on handling the devastating loss of a resident, as well as implementing crucial suicide prevention and postvention measures to prioritize mental health support. Landmark is proud to be a part of the College Student Mental Wellness Advocacy Coalition, working to provide vital resources like this guidebook that prioritize the well-being of our student residents. We're proud that our 2023 delivery, The Standard at Seattle, was awarded Best Use of Green & Sustainable Construction/Development at the 2024 Student Housing Business Innovator Awards. This two-tower, 26-story, 1,545-bed residential development achieved its LEED Gold certification through an integrative design approach. The design team was able to accomplish this by reducing energy loads through careful selection of building assemblies, systems, and equipment. From the outset, the project team prioritized sustainability and energy efficiency, making critical decisions large and small to deliver a high-rise tower that meets ambitious goals, promotes energy stewardship, and demonstrates consciousness of our changing climate.
