This restaurant, Sandia in my hood near UW, has been regularly hit with broken windows and break-ins. For those in local government who say they are concerned about the survival of small business, it’s time to actually care, and come down hard on this sort of crime. Small business owners are barely hanging on and only one more broken window away from closing permanently. As a business community in Seattle we must keep the pressure on and hold our elected officials accountable. I think they actually want it. I’m stoked about the Mayor and new City Council, but it’s time to stop talking, and for forceful action to end this bullshit. I encourage everyone to email and call the Mayor all Council Members to remind them that nothing else matters unless crime is significantly reduced. ✌️
