This exceptional celebration, attended by our Sarah Boyarko and Michael McGiffin, was the result of years of collaborative effort by many leaders and organizations in the Lake to River region. Congratulations to all!
The delivery of C-130s at the Youngstown Air Reserve Station (YARS) is another example of the critical work being done to support military and federal missions across Ohio. These aircraft will be used to support YARS' mission of aerial spray capability. YARS maintains the United States Department of Defense's only large-area fixed-wing spray mission for agricultural and environmental applications We're proud to support them! “Shovels in the ground are a symbol of great progress AND great promise of things to come.” Interim CEO of Lake to River Alexa Sweeney spoke at the MCCTC Groundbreaking event to celebrate the work being done at MCCTC that heightens the education and workforce development for the region. The new hub project, planned for the east side of MCCTC's current building, will include a 35,000-square-foot facility for new in-demand programs: computer networking and cybersecurity, electricity and automated systems specialists, robotics and engineering, AI systems and software engineering, and welding and industrial maintenance. Expanding our region’s career tech education infrastructure is critical for staying competitive in both legacy and emerging industries that are either here already or looking to locate in our market. We applaud and strongly support the expansion being celebrated today."
