About usMarshmallow Challenge!
This year, 15 teams in 4 offices participated in The Marshmallow Challenge! This Challenge was the subject of a 2010 TED talk by Tom Wujec of Autodesk. Rules: 20 pieces of uncooked spaghetti, 1 yard of masking tape, 1 yard of string, & a marshmallow. The object is to build the tallest free-standing structure with the entire marshmallow at the top with 20 minutes to build the structure, & can use as much or as little of the materials as they like. On the line: a team lunch or happy hour.
Craft Beer Challenge
Participating offices determined a beer to represent them for the competition. They used whatever selection criteria they liked, & their own nomination process (office happy hour to select, nominations/voting, internal taste test). Samples of each beer selection were transported to all office location. Unidentified samples were rated by participants & later scored. The goal was to have a happy hour event for everyone simultaneously, while creating some good-natured inter-office competition.
