La Cantera Resort & Spa is thrilled to announce that Ben Turner has been promoted to to general manager. Turner brings over 20 years of hospitality experience, including 12 years in San Antonio. He previously held leadership roles at the Holiday Inn Riverwalk, New Orleans' Chateau LeMoyne, and Hotel Indigo in San Diego. Turner takes the helm from Camila Frederico-Dickerson, who has been promoted to vice president of asset management for Ohana Real Estate Investors. He will oversee all resort operations and aims to elevate the La Cantera brand. Turner's new role includes strategic planning and collaboration with management to enhance the property, including a new 5,500 square foot event facility opening by the end of the year. “I am excited to continue working with our dedicated team and to further enhance our luxury offerings,” Turner said. La Cantera Resort celebrated Women’s History Month all month long in March. We wrapped up our month long donation-drive for The Battered Women’s Shelter of San Antonio, collecting clothing items, bedding, hygiene products, and much more.
