The community playground features a refreshing splash pad for children to play which is conveniently located near the open-air pavilion equipped with a fireplace and grill station, providing a safe and visible area for parents and families. Homestead is a haven where residents can thrive amidst nature’s embrace and offers the tranquility of small-town living with the convenience of nearby city attractions.

Welcome to KW Austin, Russell Stanford! With over 25 years of A/E/C experience, Russell has joined our KW Austin team as our newest Senior Project Executive. As a Landscape Architect and IT Professional, he holds a Master of Computer Information Systems from Colorado State University and a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Texas Tech University. His unique role will focus on finalizing AutoCAD standards, streamlining project production processes, and introducing new design programs for our team.   Outside of work, you can find Russell spending quality time with his wife Rebecca and his son Jeremiah, designing and crafting a handmade wood piece or cheering on his two alma maters in all sports!

Howdy, Jessica Escobar! Welcome to KW San Antonio! Jessica is our newest Project Executive at KW, overseeing project management, client relations, and team coordination. As a California-licensed Professional Landscape Architect (PLA) with over a decade of experience, she has managed projects ranging from luxury custom residential to multi-family developments and amusement parks. Recently relocated from California to Texas with her family, Jessica is excited about this new chapter. Elan Harvest Green | Richmond, Texas KW designed the outdoor community environment for the garden-style multi-family community in Richmond, Texas, known as Elan Harvest Green. The welcoming streetscape into the complex is a glimpse into the lush, native, and adaptive plantings, creating a beautiful and sustainable environment throughout the development. The expansive luxury-style pool courtyard features private cabanas, providing a relaxing oasis. A sunken lawn space adds a layered look while offering ample room for lawn activities. An outdoor living room with a shaded pavilion and dining area allows for everyday gatherings, rain or shine. The cozy fireplace seating area invites residents to gather together on cooler days. For pet owners, a dog park with a watering station is also included for your furry friends. 

Welcome Back to KW, Erin Sims & Francheska Luna ! We are thrilled to welcome back Erin Sims and Francheska Luna to KW, now as full-time employees. Both Erin and Francheska have journeyed from college interns to esteemed full-time members of our team after their recent graduation this Spring. Erin graduated from Purdue University in Indiana, and Francheska earned her degree from Texas A&M University in College Station, both receiving their Bachelor of Landscape Architecture. Welcome to KW San Antonio, Joseph! As a graduate of Texas A&M University, Joseph comes to KW with over six years of invaluable local landscape architecture experience. As a Project Coordinator, Joseph’s role will range from prioritizing project schedules and deadlines to leading projects from the design development phase to construction documents with meticulous attention to detail, and much more. When asked about what he is looking forward to in his new role, he shared “I’m excited to grow as a professional at KW with a great culture, collaboration with the best of the best, and the opportunity to work with honest individuals that share a similar passion for landscape architecture.” We’re excited to have you on the team Joseph!

Candela South | Richmond, TX In collaboration with Johnson Development Corp, KW designed the landscape for Candela South, an extension of the existing Candela master-planned community located in Richmond, Texas. It features a striking entry monument with a blade sign and an illuminated glass rock tower that changes colors with the seasons and holidays. At its center, the playground customized by Earthscape Play is surrounded by a ring-shaped paving pattern symbolizing the solar system's orbital rings. The entry walkway is flanked by sphere-shaped light bollards representing planets and stars, while the play area is shaded by trees and bordered by bistro tables for parents to watch their children from the shade. Unique shade structures with colored Lexan panels cast vibrant patterns on the ground, reflecting the community's name, "Candela." Additional features include an interactive play wall with spherical cutouts and a tiered concrete platform with tall light bollards for a "running through stars" effect. Behind the park is a large lake with trails and around its edge is a large human-scale sundial, which will help kids and adults alike to tell time using the position of the sun. We are excited for this extension to the Candela community with construction set to begin this Fall!

Welcome to KW, Damon Vela !! From Texas A&M University, Damon joins KW Houston as our first Ajera Project Accountant. Damon is tasked with orchestrating seamless coordination between project managers to guarantee accurate scheduling and budgets. His role will ensure that projects adhere to established timelines following the finalization and acceptance of proposals. In his spare time, you can find Damon trying new restaurants or watching his favorite contact sports such as football, MMA, or boxing! We’re glad to have you on the team, Damon!

Promenade is a vibrant office and retail space located in Conroe, Texas, just north of Houston. Featured as the World-Architects Building of the week in December 2023, this 15,000 sqft project includes outdoor spaces such as planted gardens and seating areas that connect people to their surroundings and extend indoor activities outdoors. The green spaces are angled toward the street to increase visibility, attract visitors, and enhance well-being. Diverse gardens, inspired by the client’s request for local ecologies, offer multi-sensory experiences, from the fragrance of jasmine climbers to the soothing shade of bamboo groves. Visitors can stroll through various themed gardens, including a Texas rock garden, a tall grass garden, a pollinator garden, and a desert garden. Promenade seamlessly integrates indoor and outdoor environments, creating a dynamic and engaging collaborative space
