Achieve decarbonization goals. Lower GHG emissions & increase profits with facility energy services & data solutions.

About us

In 1998, I started kW Engineering as a two-person firm with a singular vision: to become the leading technical experts at saving money in buildings by saving energy and water. Long before “sustainability” and “renewables” became popular buzzwords, kW Engineering was cutting its teeth in campus central plants and the aisles of data centers. We treat every project as an opportunity to showcase our expertise, further refine our craft, and strengthen our reputation by delivering results at the meter and on the bill. I am proud that my team’s results speak for themselves. With hundreds of satisfied long-term clients, we have steadily grown into a recognized leader in the energy industry with a dedicated technical staff of over 50 engineers. While new firms have entered the market in the past few years and others have left or been acquired by large corporations, kW Engineering has remained a private and independent company, beholden only to our customers’ best interests. We deliberately seek out only those opportunities where we can deliver results and build strong professional relationships that will last beyond our next 15 years.

Last week, kW Engineering CEO Sanjiv Devnani had the opportunity to present at the Quality Assurance Series: Building Decarbonization Projects hosted by Climate United. The conversation focused on considerations for protecting building owners’ interests in small and mid-sized clean-energy projects in the drive to decarbonize America’s buildings. Our CEO, Sunny Devnani, spoke passionately about the role a commissioning agent holds in ensuring that owners' needs are met. "The commissioning agent is more of a role of a fireman than a policeman. It is your partner. It is not just a QA/QC…a good commissioning agent is going to be your partner to resolve those problems. That’s how we look at commissioning at kW Engineering." Thank you to everyone who joined us for this insightful discussion. 🌍 Join Us for the Quality Assurance Series: Building Decarbonization Projects Webinar! 🏢 There is still time to register for our upcoming webinar on Wednesday, June 12th at 10 AM MDT. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from industry leaders, including kW Engineering’s CEO, Sanjiv Devnani who will be speaking alongside other expert panelists. Register through the link below!

Join Climate United for a new discussion series! The Inflation Reduction Act creates historic opportunities to transition America’s homes and buildings off fossil fuels and improve their comfort, performance, and value. Building owners will be the principal decision-makers in that transition, and they will learn from other building owners. How can we ensure that owners’ requirements are met in clean-energy projects, particularly owners in low- and moderate-income communities? This informal discussion series will highlight some of the principal risks associated with these projects, and the practices and standards needed to minimize those risks and deliver the greatest possible benefit for building owners.    Please join us on June 12th for the first discussion in the series, featuring speakers from kW Engineering, Elevate and NYSERDA. “To keep a large building comfortable for patients it takes a lot of systems working together just right, and there’s a lot of spots where things can go wrong,” said Matt Wilson, remote operations center manager for Intermountain Health. “This new system picks up the smallest problems so we can find it and fix it.”
