Previously known as the city’s meat packing district, Chicago’s West Loop continues to thrive on newfound potential, evolving into a lively hub that draws students, professionals and epicureans alike. Through a collaborative partnership with Tandem and Antunovich Associates, KTGY served as the Design Architect for Sage West Loop, a high-rise mixed-use building that extends from its urban surroundings to offer new residences and adaptive retail spaces. When asked about goal setting within this design process, KTGY’s Demetrios Stavrianos responded, “I want[ed] to set a tone and create an environment that leads people to make new friends and dear memories. It’s about contributing something back to the city that we love and believe in.” Get the full story from Commercial Construction & Renovation here: https://lnkd.in/gj6vDvQ3 #Partnership #Collaboration #SageWestLoop #WestLoop #Chicago #Highrise #MixedUse #Multifamily #Development #KTGY #WhereDesignLives

Eileen Gray was an Irish designer whose pioneering work in modernism left an indelible mark in the world of design. Her journey began as a lacquer artist, where a burgeoning passion for innovation propelled her into new creative territories. Unwavering in her quest to push boundaries, Gray went on to transition into furniture design, interior design and architecture. In a male-dominated era, Gray’s resilience and ingenuity shone brightly, establishing her as a beacon of inspiration for women in design. Her portfolio includes some of modernism's most iconic pieces: the E1027 adjustable table, the Bibendum chair, the Brick Screen and the architectural marvel, Villa E-1027. At age 94, Gray’s work was rediscovered, lauding her 'inventiveness' and 'visionary intuition.' Today, Eileen Gray's legacy lives on. Her designs grace exhibitions worldwide and her furniture fetches millions at auctions, a testament to her enduring influence and timeless vision. We uplift Gray’s contributions to the industry and admire her shared passion to bring innovative designs to all people and places. #EileenGray #Modernism #PRIDEMonth #DesignIcon #FurnitureDesign #InteriorDesign #Architecture #WomenInDesign
