Our amazing #intern class of 2024 has been busy this summer, gaining hands-on experience, volunteering in the community and forging lasting connections with our employees, managers and VPs. And despite all the fun we’ve had, we can’t believe that summer’s almost over. It seems like orientation was just yesterday! But we’re excited to see what all these individuals will accomplish as they return to school, embark on their careers and hopefully return here to #QuincyIL and #Knapheide. To Lorraine Jossund and her family, the 1960s Knapheide-bodied work truck is more than just a piece of farm equipment. It’s a family heirloom, passed down through generations, much like their family’s farm, and holds a myriad of memories. Today, Lorraine’s sons, Andrew and Daniel, are continuing their family’s legacy by farming their family’s land and putting the work truck to use. Meet the Jossunds – Daniel, Andrew, Janet (Nelson), Lorraine and John Like #Knapheide, the history of their family’s farm spans more than a century; a little more than 60 years ago, this #Knapheide body became intertwined in that story. Throughout the years, it’s become #MoreThanAWorkTruck and continues to live on in their memories, and out on the farm, of course! Day 1 of intern volunteering at Horizons was a success! ✅ These interns put in some serious WORK today. Always great to get out of the office and connect with the community! Thankful for Horizons staff and volunteers letting us get a glimpse of the great work they do every day! Day 2 updates to come tomorrow with the rest of our great intern group!
