However, we do have residents and associates who have been personally impacted or know someone who was affected. When Andrew Kohlberg, our founder and president, purchased Kisco’s first retirement community in 1990, two thoughts emerged as the driving force: If my parents were to live in a retirement community, what would I want it to be like? Bonnie is one of our dependable community volunteers. Every Tuesday, she facilitates Bunco wearing fun t-shirts. She is always ready for a good time and a good joke. When anyone is in need, they can always find a friend in Bonnie Holt. Her best memory is having her 2 girls and being married to Gordon for 65 years and counting! Thank you for always being the neighbor to our residents who we all wish we had.

This month, we celebrated the grand opening of the Carnegie at Washingtonian Center. This is the culmination of many years of casting vision and hard work. We are so happy to be bringing the Kisco Signature lifestyle to the people of Gaithersburg, MD. Our first residents are moved in and most of the units are already sold. We are very excited for this next chapter! 🥂

Congratulations to Chef Ernest Fong who has been promoted to National Director of Culinary Services - Lifestyle Brand! Ernest started with Kisco a little over 2 years ago as part of our Home Office Operations Team as the Senior Director of Culinary. He grew up on the island of Guam where he learned the art of cooking from his grandparents. They taught the value of good food and the importance of family connections. This background has deeply influenced his approach to senior living dining, where his goal has always been to serve our residents and associates with exemplary experiences that foster meaningful connections and enrich their lives.
