Our reps have been visiting local emergency hospitals and bringing some much-needed snacks to help nourish them. We appreciate all our emergency hospitals and their staff for working non-stop to help people in need. Hurricane Beryl came and went, but Houston still stands strong! We want to once again thank everyone who helped make the Houston Mental Health Conference such a success! The event featured amazing speakers, lively discussions, and a collection of some of the brightest minds in the mental health field working together to break the stigma. We're already excited for next year!

We were proud to co-host the 2nd Annual Houston Metal Health Conference: Breaking the Stigma! We were joined in hosting duties by Cypress Creek Hospital, West Oaks Hospital, and Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire. Our teams worked together to help educate the community about substance use disorders, adolescent mental health, and veteran mental health issues. Thank you to all of our amazing speakers! We also want to thank Meridell Achievement Center, Taylor Counseling and More than Rehab for sponsoring a portion of this event. We encourage anyone seeking assistance for recovery services to contact the beneficiary of this year's event, The Council on Recovery.

We were happy to receive a visit from Mandy Westerman, LCSW, Divisional VP of Behavioral Health at UHS (far left), Matt Peterson, Executive Vice President and President of the Behavioral Health Division at UHS (second from left), and Ethan Permenter, Divisional SVP of Behavioral Health at UHS (far right). It was wonderful to meet with our behavioral health leadership team and learn about the growth and direction of our organization.
