About us
Kids' Meals’ mission is to deliver free, healthy meals year-round to the doorsteps of Houston's hungriest preschool-aged children. But Kids’ Meals delivers more than a meal, we deliver hope to families in crisis. Chronically hungry children suffer permanent developmental impairments that limit physical, intellectual and emotional growth and lead to chronic illnesses like asthma, obesity, depression and anxiety. Kids’ Meals doesn’t just impact a hungry child’s meal time; we impact their lifetime. Kids’ Meals is the only home meal delivery program in the nation focused on children, and since our founding in 2006, we have delivered more than 4 million meals. #feedourfuture Interested in volunteering? Our amazing construction team, who is building our new campus, participated in the Juice Box Challenge! Thank you, Satterfield & Pontikes Construction for your support and commitment to ending childhood hunger.
S&P was proud to contribute 1,000 juice boxes to Kids' Meals, Inc.' as part of their 2024 Summer Juice Box Challenge.Thank you to Sam Sprouse, PE, MBA and John Marshall for representing S&P! Kids’ Meals, Inc. makes and delivers over 8,400 meals daily to preschool-aged children (ages 5 and under) who lack access to free school-based meal programs. During the summer, this number more than doubles as they also provide meals to school-aged siblings in the home. This summer, Kids' Meals aims to deliver over 900,000 free, healthy meals to the doorsteps of Houston’s most vulnerable children, and we are proud to support their mission! We encourage you to join the juicebox challenge here: https://buff.ly/3SflHgB #KidsMeals #EndChildhoodHunger Beth Braniff Harp

Kids' Meals, Inc. reposted this
S&P Joins Kids’ Meals at Groundbreaking Satterfield & Pontikes Construction (S&P) was proud to stand alongside our partners at Kids' Meals, Inc. to break ground on the new Building Hope Campus. The two-story, 50,000 square-foot building includes a large office space, a welcome center, education and conference rooms, volunteer snack preparation, and 11,790 square-feet of warehouse with five-tier storage racks. With the front entrance shaped like a sack lunch, the facility, designed by Kirksey Architects, inspires childlike wonder. Since 2006, Kids’ Meals has delivered over 13.5 million free, healthy meals directly to food-insecure children in 56 zip codes across Harris and Montgomery Counties. As first responders to children under 5 facing hunger due to extreme poverty, their mission is to end childhood hunger in Greater Houston by delivering meals and collaborating to provide resources that break the cycle of poverty. “We’re pleased we can help Kids’ Meals fulfill their mission,” says George A. Pontikes Jr., S&P Chairman & CEO. “No child should go hungry.” Kids’ Meals is unique in the nation, starting with two delivery vans and growing to a fleet of 21, connecting families to over 70 service partners. With over 80,000 preschool-aged children in Harris County living in food insecurity, their goal is to feed 26,000 children daily by 2031, aiming to make Houston the first city to end childhood hunger. The new facility is expected to complete Summer 2025.
