Two exceptional little girls got to go home this month from our Children's Transitional Homes! 🎉 Layla and Leylanie, lit up the KenCrest homes with their smiles and kind hearts throughout their time. Both families are ecstatic to have their babies home and all together. 💙 “When I originally learned about Leylanie’s medical needs, it was terrifying. My home was not ready for her yet, so I talked with her doctors about other options, and they mentioned KenCrest. I never miss a beat because of them now, and I appreciate KenCrest for everything they’ve done for me and my family.” Learn more about our Transitional Homes and how KenCrest pioneered this care model to get medically fragile children out of the hospital and into a more home-like setting: https://lnkd.in/eFgTVHGS

17 KenCrest Early Learning teaching staff completed a two week intensive curriculum training. They had fun while learning the best way to engage children and bring out the best in them. 👩🏫🏫 One teacher wrote: "I have been positively impacted to make changes to incorporate Highscope into EVERY area of my work. This has impact how I will move forward with my interactions with children and adults.” Enrollment is open for the fall already! https://lnkd.in/e8Z3-STD

Our Director of Gov. Relations and Advocacy, Chip, went to the district office to visit with Rep. Regina Young! Discussing I/DD support and an in-person thank you for the state budget investment with I/DD services. Also conversing workforce challenges for direct care workers, including an update on SOC activity at the Federal level. Thank you for the visit and we'll hopefully see you soon for a group home visit in the Fall.
