About us
We believe in the life changing power of food. And we believe that whether you're enjoying a leisurely meal with family or grabbing a quick bite on the go, food should give you both power and pleasure. We also believe in the importance of helping others and giving back, whether that's picking up litter in the neighborhood or donating to your favorite causes. In 2019 we founded Kelsi's Kitchen with the goal of creating Life Changing Chocolate that would reflect these two, core beliefs. We hope that by giving you a nourishing and delicious treat we can empower you to be your best every single day. Each of our chocolates is made by hand using just five core, nutrient-dense ingredients: Organic & Fair Trade Cacao, Organic Almonds, Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Honey and Organic Pink Himalayan Salt. Kelsi, a trained raw food chef, spent years developing the recipes for each of our five flavors - we promise they are more delicious than your favorite candy bar and, of course, leaving you feeling better not badly! Aside from providing delicious and convenient treats, we donate 10% of our profits to ALS research and support in honor of Kelsi's mom, who inspired much of what we do and who passed away only three months after being diagnosed with ALS. Founded by Cassandra Hume and raw food chef, Kelsi Petersen, the Cacao Bites come in five different flavors, each one crafted to deliver mouth-melting, soul-satisfying flavor: Salted Peanut Caramel, Double Chocolate, Raspberry, Mint and Peanut Butter. As the youngest of eight, Kelsi spent much of her childhood in the kitchen with her mother, who due to a health condition, adopted a raw food diet. When she turned 12, she went raw too. After studying the health benefits of a raw food diet, the mother-daughter duo decided to start their own raw cooking class in their Idaho Falls kitchen. The first thing they taught students was how to make raw food desserts. Their chocolates were always the biggest hit. Kelsi took some chocolate samples to a local juice bar in Idaho Falls and the owners loved them. Kelsi's Kitchen was born.
