𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞: Why is it so important? Nothing worse than sitting down to enjoy a nice cold brew, only to realize it doesn’t taste quite like your favorite beer. If anything tastes off or funky, raise an eyebrow. Without regular maintenance and cleaning, beer lines get dirty fast. If the beer tastes stale or sour, this is a sign of dirty beer lines. Line cleaning prevents the beer from becoming infected with bacteria and yeasts. Bacteria and yeasts can grow in the beer line and spoil the beer’s aroma. Yeast in the beer lines can create carbon dioxide, which causes foaming problems that increase beer wastage and decrease your potential profits. If you notice a little funk to your beer, call the professionals at (906)256-9119. Our technicians here at Keg Techs, LLC, will get that beer back to tasting the way the brewers intended! #fortheloveofbeer #draftbeer #craftbeer #professionalservice

𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞! Easter beers were created for the fast during Lent, when, in the Middle Ages, the faithful had to abstain from eating for forty days. It was necessary to have beer that was stronger, thicker, and more nourishing than everyday beer. Legend has it that the monks, to alleviate the pains of hunger that gripped them during those long weeks, and following Pope Pius V’s rule, liquids do not violate the fast, prepared rather full-bodied springtime beers. . . hence, the Easter Beers! This tradition of preparing wort just in time for the Holy Week is something that continues to this day in many places in Europe. So, if you enjoy beer, keep your eyes open for Easter Beer, get a taste of tradition! Keg Techs will be celebrating Easter this weekend, so we will be closed on Easter Monday. Have a wonderful holiday weekend! See you all Tuesday! #easter2024 #celebrate #family #friends #easterbeers #kegtechs

𝙒𝙝𝙮 𝙙𝙤 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙙𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙠 𝙤𝙣 𝙎𝙩. 𝙋𝙖𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙠’𝙨 𝙙𝙖𝙮? The St. Patrick’s Day tradition began as a feast day held in honor of St. Patrick in the anniversary of the day he died. Christians are allowed to put aside their Lenten restrictions on food and alcohol consumption on this day, which is why excessive drinking has become so permanently linked to the celebration. Eventually, the feast day evolved into a greater celebration including not only St. Patrick, but also Irish culture, history, and traditions. Though the feast day began in Ireland, the first St. Patrick’s Day parade began in America. The parade tradition became exceptionally popular in the 1840’s, when hundreds of thousands of Irish immigrants came to America to escape the potato famine. The celebration of St. Patrick’s Day involves many symbols. On March 17th, revelers worldwide will wear shamrocks on their clothing s part of the celebration. The reason that the shamrock has been linked to St. Patrick’s Day is because, according to legend, he used the three leaves of the shamrock to explain Holy Trinity to the Irish people. So in order to display their Irish-Christian pride and to honor St. Patrick, Irish people began to wear a shamrock on their clothing. Eventually, this practice evolved into wearing green clothes on the holiday. This St. Patty’s Day, be sure to dress the part and go enjoy some company having a cold “green” beer! Watch out for those pinchers!!! #stpatricksday2024 #greenbeer #greatcompany #drinklocal #celebrate #goodtimes #Shamrock #dontgetpinched

𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐨??? Ice is used in almost every food service setting, from restaurants, bars, cafeterias, and coffee shops, to nursing homes, hospitals, and other health care facilities. No matter what type of ice machine your establishment operates, it’s imperative that you clean, sanitize, and maintain it. Any part of the unit that has contact with water can develop scale, slime, or mold at any time, which will contaminate your ice and potentially harm your customers. In fact, these machines are often some of the dirtiest pieces of equipment in the kitchen. The FDA considers ice to be a food, which means it must be handled and cared for in the same manner as other food products. Your ice machine should be cleaned and sanitized at least once every six months for efficient operation. If you do not keep up with the maintenance, scale buildup can cause ice to stick to the evaporator plates, which can impede heat transfer and result in freeze-ups, longer harvest times, reduction in capacity, and costly repairs. So if you have an ice machine that you can’t seem to remember when it was last cleaned, give our professionals a call today. We will be more than happy to stop by and make sure your getting the cleanest ice possible. Call (906)256-9119, see what we can do for you. #icemachine #crystalclear #professionalservice #sixmonths #weclean

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐫? Beer is one of the oldest , most popular, and widely consumed drinks around the world. Be it bottles or the draft beer, it’s a drink which unites people and beer lovers will definitely agree with us on that! Drinking a glass of draft beer in a brewery and pouring it directly from the bottle results in different tastes. Have you ever thought of why there is a change in taste while they both are made of the same grain and flavors? Well, most draft beers are kept at a consistent pressure and temperature, which helps in retaining the original flavor and taste of the drink. While bottled beer is often kept in the refrigerator or even on the shelf, which tones down the flavor notes of the drink. Another factor in the difference of taste is light. When beer is exposed to light, it oxidizes which means the hops are killed in the process which makes it bitter in taste. This is the only reason why most bottled beer tastes more bitter than draft beer. Unlike bottles, kegs and cans protect the beer from light at all times, but cans might not necessarily be kept in the walk-in cooler. Negligence can also screw up a draft experience. The ultimate responsibility is on the bar owner/kegerator owner. No matter how diligently a delicious beer is brewed, if it’s poured through a dirty line, drinkers will notice. If beer lines and taps aren’t cleaned regularly, they may dispense beer contaminated with yeast, mold , bacteria, and mineral deposits. Even if you can’t see it, you will most definitely taste it. So, take the time to make sure your beer lines are clean and keep your beer tasting the way the brewers intended. If you need a hand with a cleaning, just not sure where to start, call Keg Techs: the draft beer system experts. Call (906)256-9119 to schedule your next cleaning! #beerguys #Draftbeer #bottledbeer #beer #justright #kegtechs
