What are we doing? A primary school k-2 we were working with had a parent show up at the school irritated about her student not getting off the bus.  To set the stage, the doors had just locked as the school was closed, the Assistant Principal looked up the student on the dashboard to confirm that she was loaded correctly, and she was. She then proceeded to contact transportation to inquire about the status of the bus and to determine if the child had been dropped off YET.  They easily replied with “We just dropped off that stop and that student was now at home”.  That day the communication was different between the departments because the panic was not there for the school, they had enough information to isolate where the child was and the parent was thankful and learned they cried foul too early.
