the future of grab & go hydration. beverage vending stations without the single-use waste.

About us

We’re Kadeya—the future of hydration featuring high quality drinks with low environmental impact that help everyone thrive. Since we’re all just very literally bodies of water, being dehydrated by 4% of your body mass can reduce your response time by nearly 25%. So whether you’re at a building site or in the boardroom, staying hydrated makes you feel better and perform better too. To help you do just that, we’re proud to operate the only network of low waste vending stations serving a selection of purified water, carbonated, flavored, and branded drinks in infinite bottles that could never end up in landfill. We’ve created bottled water for the future, making it ... Safer: To lower the carbon output, we source water locally instead of shipping it, and purify it with an advanced filtration process. Our water quality beats market standards—and we like to keep things transparent by sharing that data with you. Healthier: Along with clean water, we then create flavored and carbonated drinks free from microplastics, because our infinite bottles are made from glass or stainless steel. You can also optimize your hydration with the Kadeya app, to make sure you’re always at your best. By rethinking the bottled water supply chain entirely, we’ve created a circular system that makes a positive impact for both you and the planet with every sip, gulp and swig.

The look on the server's face! I thought I might have grown a second head during dinner... 👀 This was the first time I brought my own reusable container to a restaurant for leftovers. I felt so awkward, but there was no way I was going to use another styrofoam clamshell. We had a good laugh and a great conversation about leftovers and food containers. It turns out they were already looking into switching to compostable boxes. (They ended up making the change!) #PlasticFreeJuly #Sustainability #Kadeya #MakeYourImpact

Do you trust the quality of bottled water? A 2024 study found that a liter of bottled water contains around 240,000 plastic particles, with 90% of those being nanoplastics. This is 10 to 100 times more plastic than previous studies, which focused on larger microplastics. The particles can include all seven types of plastic, with polyamide and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) being the most common. (source: The National Institutes of Health) People may start doubting the quality of water in plastic bottles. Switching to aluminum isn't a better choice either, as it's lined with polymer, adding to the plastic consumption. Let's consider the alternatives... Kadeya’s innovative closed-loop beverage vending solution is a healthier alternative for workplaces: 💧 Our water goes through advanced filtration, eliminating 99% of microplastics. 💧 Your bottled water or beverage is bottled on demand in a stainless steel container. 💧 Because it's bottled on demand, it’s also not sitting in plastic packaging in hot temperatures. Companies looking to provide a waste-free workplace and deliver high-quality water to workers can indicate their interest in receiving a Kadeya station at 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gE26UejK #Kadeya #PlasticFreeJuly #Sustainability #PlasticWaste #Innovation #ClosedLoopSystem #VendingMachine #ClimateTech #PlasticFree #Reuse #BottledWater

🌡️ New OSHA Regulations to Protect US Workers from Heat Stress. What are your thoughts? In a significant move towards ensuring worker safety, the first-ever federal standards to protect US workers from heat stress are set to be introduced. These proposed requirements come at a crucial time, as record-breaking temperatures amplify the risks of heat exposure on the job. 🔑 Key Highlights: ➡️ The Labor Department’s proposal mandates access to drinking water, cooling areas, and rest breaks for workers exposed to high temperatures. ➡️ The regulation is expected to cover an estimated 36 million workers, including those in states where such safeguards have been limited. ➡️ Employers will need to implement acclimatization plans for new or returning employees, ensuring gradual workload increases and regular rest breaks. With extreme heat being the top weather-related killer in the US, this landmark rule by OSHA aims to protect workers in construction, steel mills, and other high-risk environments. This initiative not only underscores the importance of worker safety but also emphasizes the need for sustainable workplace practices. At Kadeya, we’re committed to supporting the well being of workers by providing easy to implement waste-free hydration solutions for businesses to keep workers safe, hydrated, and productive. 📅 Learn more about this significant development and how it could impact your industry via link below ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/gZNAYDRb #WorkerSafety #OSHA #HeatStress #ClimateChange #Sustainability #Construction #Manufacturing #Kadeya

The founder and CEO of Kadeya, Manuela Zoninsein, was recently spotlighted on CBS News last month for developing a "closed-loop hydration station" that not only dispenses a drink, but takes a bottle back, cleans it, and dispense a new one. A few of our favorite takeaway points below: "More than 1 million single-use plastic water bottles are purchased every minute globally. Kadeya's new vending machine was created to change that—with just one machine eliminating more than 100,000 plastic bottles in a year." "Kadeya" means "chain" in Portuguese—in a reference to its mission both to reimagine the supply chain and, as the company puts it, "start a chain reaction for good." "Two-thirds of the carbon footprint of a packaged beverage comes from transportation and labor. Eliminating both in favor of a reusable bottle reduces that carbon footprint by 70%—and involves zero plastic." Check out the full interview linked below 🔗

    CEO @ Kadeya 🌊 Waste-free Hydration

Pepsi published its annual impact report last week. What most caught my eye is this comment by Jim Andrew, CSO: "No company can do this by themselves. It's about collaboration and partnership to drive change.” Couldn’t agree more. Scope 3 is the company's biggest sustainability challenge. The same is true of the rest of the beverage industry, and many are far behind Pepsi. "It's about 94% of our total [footprint], including transportation, packaging, agriculture. It requires systemic changes,” Andrew told the WSJ. Waking up today feeling optimistic, because the big players are reading the writing on the wall: transportation and packaging are carbon sunk costs. These are the conclusions that have guided Kadeya from Day 0.
