At Kaya Ventures we’re celebrating the unstoppable rise of women's sports! Women's sports is rewriting the playbook. Our Managing Partner, Madeline Darcy had the privilege to witness its momentum firsthand at the recent Angel City FC match honoring Juneteenth alongside the All Raise community. The energy was electric as we cheered on hashtag hashtag #AngelCityFC. Thank you to Robyn Ward for coming to speak with our group, and for sharing the story behind building ACFC. As one of the OG women investors in LA, we so appreciate learning from you! Thank you, Robyn, Kara, and the many other amazing individuals behind ACFC for pioneering change and inspiring us all to champion inclusion in sports. Let's continue amplifying women's voices and supporting their achievements on and off the field. #WomenInSports #Juneteenth #Empowerment #Inclusion

Our Summer Fellow, Miranda Lee recently attended a women’s health focused lunch in Pasadena to talk about the importance of screening. “Screening saves lives, plain and simple.” - Andrea Hans Screening is essential for saving lives by identifying health problems early, often before symptoms appear. Early detection allows for prompt and efficient treatment, improving outcomes and reducing complications. Regular screenings can detect diseases like diabetes, heart disease, cancer, and hypertension, enabling early intervention to prevent progression. By identifying risk factors and illnesses early, people can make informed health decisions, take preventive actions, and potentially live longer. Knowing our risk allows us to know our options. #KnowYourRisk #Health #Prevention

Fantastic day of inspiration and insights at the very first Moms First summit! More than 7,500 moms and supporters joined the livestream from 49 states and countries across the globe! Catch the replay here: https://lnkd.in/gkZQ69Pt
#MomsFirstSummit was a day that we will never forget. We're still feeling so energized from all the invaluable insights, motivation, and lessons that were shared both in person and online. We're so curious to hear about your key takeaways from the day, so we'll kick things off by sharing ours: 👭 Cherish your friendships because the communities we build are our strength 📖 The power of storytelling, of bravely and unapologetically sharing our truths, is a force to be reckoned with 🧾 We have to keep making the economic argument for affordable child care, paid family leave, and equal pay for all moms. To ensure that every mom across this country can thrive, we have to change the conversation about moms and why its vital to invest in them ✨ Relive all the highlights from the day at: momsfirstsummit.us
