  • [Upcycled products reflect the spirit of the craftspeople and atmosphere of aircraft production floor]    All Nippon Airways (ANA) and Kawasaki launched a line of upcycled products made from aircraft scrap, offcuts, and excess materials. The products attracted particular attention because they were created by the very people who build the aircraft. These innovative aircraft goods could not have been completed without the skills of the experts who support the manufacturing process on a daily basis. What challenges did the craftspeople face in developing these products? #aircraft #airplane #upcycle #craftmanship #kawasaki #ANA     Visit our online media ANSWERS to read the article:  https://lnkd.in/guH7CDtg

  • [ANA and Kawasaki take on upcycling by adding value to discarded materials]   Kawasaki is collaborating with the Kakamigahara Aerospace Science Museum in Gifu Prefecture, Japan for the ongoing exhibition "100 Years of Aerospace Industry in Kakamigahara, Gifu." The exhibition features various aircraft models, historical materials, and unique upcycled products developed in collaboration with All Nippon Airways (ANA). ”Upcycling” means reviving products that were going to be discarded for alternative use. Kawasaki and ANA initiated a unique project to take on this very task. The two companies worked as a team to create a variety of goods using aircraft manufacturing technologies..   Please visit our online media ANSWERS to read the article:https://lnkd.in/ew9wDkeQ   #kawasaki #aerospace #exhibition #ANAcollab

  • [World’s First Public Demonstration Run of a Hydrogen Engine Motorcycle by a Mass-Production Motorcycle Manufacturer]   On July 20, Kawasaki Motors, a member of the Kawasaki Heavy Industries Group, conducted the world's first public demonstration run of a hydrogen ICE (internal combustion engine) motorcycle (by a mass-production motorcycle manufacturer) at Suzuka Circuit in Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture, Japan.   The hydrogen ICE motorcycle was designed and built as part of research that began in March 2023, with test runs starting this year, culminating in this public demonstration run. Mounted in the machine is a hydrogen engine based on the 998 cm3 In-Line Four Supercharged Engine found in Kawasaki’s Ninja H2 motorcycle, with modifications made to allow direct injection of hydrogen fuel into the cylinders. The motorcycle’s chassis was designed to accommodate hydrogen fuel canisters and a hydrogen fuel supply system on-board.   This success marks a major step forward towards a hydrogen society!     For more information click the link below: https://lnkd.in/ggHzezqK #Kawasaki #Hydrogen

  • [Kawasaki announced its release of the “Unified-Edition” E-series steering gear, which realizes improvements via steering equipment optimization and labor savings.]   The Unified-Edition is a package-type product combining steering gear, a control box and other components that used to be installed separately onboard. Vessel maneuvering machinery, which controls the rudder and thus the course of the marine vessel, comprises various components including steering gear, control boxes, a rudder angle indicator and more. These components are normally made by different manufacturers and then integrated into a single system, which means shipbuilders and shipowners must coordinate with multiple manufacturers in regard to specifications, maintenance operations and the like each time the need arises. Kawasaki’s system, in contrast, has been optimized based on the company’s experience and knowledge in the field, which reduces the burden on shipbuilders and shipowners.   For more information, please visit our website below. https://lnkd.in/edePSrSn   #Kawasaki #E-series steering gear

  • [Kawasaki Releases a Tension Monitoring System for Mooring Line for Its Safe Berthing/Unberthing Assist System]   Kawasaki announced its release of a Tension Monitoring System for Mooring Line designed to improve safety and work efficiency in ship mooring tasks and related management operations for ships docked at wharfs and similar locations.   This system enables remote monitoring of mooring line tension in locations away from actual mooring equipment, and it also integrates a sensor in the braking mechanism of the mooring equipment, enabling brake holding force to be converted into numerical data. In addition, the system employs a proprietary Kawasaki algorithm to estimate tensile force between the bitts and bollards on a wharf, representing the first-ever example worldwide of this type of data display (according to Kawasaki’s survey conducted in February 2024). Furthermore, the system can output numerical data and graphs in real time for winch brake holding forces in safe places onboard such as the bridge (control room) and cargo control monitoring room, and for mooring line tensile forces. This enables more accurate mooring management, labor savings, and improved safety for the crew.   For more information, please visit our website below. https://lnkd.in/eKmcszX4   #Kawasaki #monitoringsystem #mooringline
