Medicare is reimbursing for health coaching as of 2024. What does this mean? It means that a new level of personal support is available to 65 million people, not because they're sick, but to prevent them from becoming sick. It means that 65 million people can spend 30-60 minutes every month, on the phone, with someone who is trained and board-certified in effective listening, someone who can help people make substantive improvements to their daily health behaviors. We're excited because our board-certified health coaching team and platform are ready to answer Medicare's call. https://lnkd.in/eRjubf26

Measuring the impact of a new service on the population health of a self-funded health plan? There are some statistical challenges that are important to understand in this context. Our Chief Operating Officer, Nandan Rao, who has a background designing impact evaluations for public health interventions at The World Bank and UNICEF, lays out some of these challenges in a new blog post: https://lnkd.in/d5pRCgX7

At Kannact, we believe that everyone deserves access to affordable, high-quality health coaching. That's why we've developed our "easy enroll" process to make it easier for people to get started with our program. With "easy enroll," all members are assigned to a health coach before they even sign up. This means that they can start talking to a coach right away and get the support they need to achieve their health goals. We've found that this new process has led to more people talking to a health coach and becoming long-term engaged participants. This is because the first call with a coach is now free, and members can schedule a time that works for them. Here are some of the benefits of our "easy enroll" process: 1. It's easier to get started. Members can start talking to a health coach right away, without having to fill out a lot of paperwork. 2. The first call is free. This gives members a chance to learn more about our program and see if it's right for them before they commit. 3. Members can schedule a time that works for them. We offer a variety of appointment times to make it easy for members to find a time that fits their schedule. 4. It leads to more long-term engagement. Members who talk to a health coach are more likely to stay in the program and achieve their health goals. If you're looking for a health coaching program that can help you achieve your health goals, Kannact's "easy enroll" process makes it easy to get started. Luisa is a 45-year-old woman who lives in a small town in Texas. She is Hispanic and her first language is Spanish. Luisa has diabetes and chronic kidney disease. When Luisa was diagnosed with kidney disease, she was struggling to manage her diabetes. She was not able to understand her doctor's instructions and she did not have access to healthy food options. Luisa's health was declining rapidly. Then, Luisa was introduced to Kannact Whole Health. Her health coach was able to communicate with her in Spanish and he understood her unique challenges. Luisa's coach worked with her to develop a personalized plan to manage her diabetes and kidney disease. Luisa's coach helped her find culturally appropriate dietary changes that she could manage and brainstormed exercise techniques that would work with her chronic pain. Luisa's coach also helped her find transportation to her dialysis appointments. After working with her Kannact coach for several months, Luisa was able to lower her blood sugar levels and manage her kidney function. She is now a candidate for a kidney transplant. Luisa's story is just one example of how Kannact Whole Health can help people improve their health. If you are looking for a way to improve the health of your workforce, Kannact Whole Health is a great option. At Kannact, we believe that the most effective health coaching is relationship-first. This means we start by building a strong relationship with our participants and getting to know their needs and goals. Once we understand the participant well, we can work together to develop a personalized plan to help them achieve their goals. There are many benefits to relationship-first health coaching. First, it helps to build trust and rapport between the coach and the participant. This is essential for creating a safe and supportive environment where the participant feels comfortable sharing their challenges and successes. Second, relationship-first health coaching allows the coach to tailor the coaching experience to the participant's individual needs. This is important because everyone is different and has different motivations and learning styles. Third, relationship-first health coaching helps to promote long-term engagement. When participants feel supported and motivated, they are more likely to stick with the program and achieve their goals. If you're looking for a health coaching program that will help you achieve your goals, we invite you to consider Kannact Whole Health. Our program is relationship-first and designed to meet the individual needs of each participant. #homehealth #healthcoaching #selfinsured #kannact
