Installing the first truss for Los Alamitos High School! For this project we are fabricating and installing six 110 foot trusses, and we are happy to work alongside Erickson-Hall Construction Co. to help deliver this new gymnasium! Huge cudos to our shop, Ironworkers, and project manager Mike Kline!

Project highlight: Four new buildings and extensive seismic work on the historic terminal building for Long Beach Airport. Other work on the project included stairs, stainless rails, bollards and other miscellaneous items. Thank you Swinerton for trusting us with the structural, miscellaneous, and ornamental package for this historic project.

Project award! Junior Steel is pleased to be able to provide the structural steel package for this 536,000 square foot project. This includes offices, mixed use spaces, and open courtyards. This building is intended to house 2,400 employees! Renderings: Gensler

First shots of our new Voortman Steel Machinery V807 robot in action!!! Using plasma allows this machine to be much faster than conventional drilling, milling, sawing and cutting. This machine enables copes, bolt-holes, slots, notches, bevels, layout marking and weld prep to be done in only one pass!

Junior Steel has just been awarded the contract for this elementary school in Santa Monica! Our scope includes over 500 tons of structural and miscellaneous steel, along with the ornamental and stainless package by Anvil Architectural Metals ! We are proud to collaborate with Balfour Beatty plc, fostering enduring and mutually beneficial relationships.

This project that we just completed for Swinerton includes new skylight framing, structural steel retrofitting, column strengthening, and new window strongback supports. Shoutout to our project manager Matthew Pisarski for running the job without a hitch!!

Another one bites the dust! This project contains 180 tons of structural and miscellaneous steel. Spread over 25,000 square feet of interior living space in the heart of Bel-Air.

This house in Manhattan Beach contains 439 pieces of structural and 532 pieces of miscellaneous steel. Coming out to over 172 tons over 4 levels (2 below grade)!

Our team recently celebrated a significant milestone in the construction of the new Keck Medicine of USC Office Building with a structural steel topping-out ceremony. This cutting-edge facility, a collaboration between Saiful Bouquet Structural Engineers, SmithGroup, and Turner Construction Company, is designed to meet modern medical needs while prioritizing sustainable design. Located on a critical corner in the heart of the medical and research district near Huntington Hospital, this four-level, 110,000 GSF building with three subterranean parking levels employs steel construction with lightweight concrete fill over a metal deck supported by steel beams and columns. Perimeter moment frames use proprietary SidePlate connections to ensure structural resilience while providing robust seismic bracing for the structure. Its unique precast concrete façade, landscaped Plaza level, and strategic orientation not only provide a welcoming entry experience with ample shade for patients but also enhance visibility and traffic safety at the busy intersection for the Pasadena community. The University of Southern California Keck Medical Office Building, Pasadena, is scheduled for completion in 2025 and aims for LEED Platinum certification.
