We bid farewell to our Summer Associates today, so we have to thank Amber Lundgreen for her time with JSH these past several months. Here's a little bit you should know about Amber: Amber is attending the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, where she serves as an Associates Articles Editor for the Utah Law Review. She began her journey toward a J.D. at the University of Baltimore School of Law, prior to transferring to Salt Lake City. Her undergraduate degree in General Science - Human Development and Family Services is from Utah State University, and she also holds a paralegal certificate from Weber State University in Ogden. Amber worked for several years as a paralegal and a law clerk, where she honed her research, trial preparation, and drafting skills. After college, she was a Patient Advocate with Myriad Genetic Laboratories. In her spare time, Amber enjoys watching professional football. She has visited all five national parks in Utah, and previously volunteered at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City. We wish you, and all of our Summer Associates, a fantastic 3L!

Last month, JSH held its biennial Attorney Retreat at the beautiful Sanctuary Resort. It's often challenging to get our entire appellate group all in one place, due to extremely busy schedules and being in three different states, but we managed to capture them in this photo as they were headed out for a team dinner!

Meet Elliott Heater-Brown, our 2024 Summer Associate in the JSH New Mexico office! Elliott is a J.D. candidate attending the University of New Mexico School of Law. Currently ranked first in his class, Elliott is the Staff Editor for the New Mexico Law Review, and has received CALI Awards in four areas of study. He also received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (minor in Criminology) from the University of New Mexico. His professional experience includes working for Morris Consulting Strategies, where he served as the Finance Director for the successful campaigns of 12 New Mexico Judges. Elliott was also a research assistant for Professor David Stout at the University of New Mexico School of Law, and an Extern for the Supreme Court of New Mexico. Elliott is a past member of Toastmasters and has volunteered with both the Roadrunner Food Bank and the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). He enjoys weightlifting, meditation, and maintaining his 18 indoor plants.
