In honor of World Menopause Day, Joylux attempted to release a press release announcing a comprehensive report on the effects of Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause on Women: https://lnkd.in/gBju6CTX The original title of the press release was “Joylux Unveils a Groundbreaking Report on the Enormous Effects of Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause on Women.” It was rejected, citing GSM as inappropriate. Our deliberate decision to substitute GSM with “Erectile Dysfunction” (which was immediately approved today) underscores the disparities in addressing men’s intimate health concerns versus women’s. While only 18% of men will grapple with ED in their lifetime, over 50% of women will suffer from GSM during menopause. It is crucial that we openly discuss this issue, ensuring that both men and women understand the significant challenges GSM causes women during this transformative time.   By creating this report (title aside), our goal is to reassure women they are not alone, and to stop the stigma surrounding women’s intimate health.
