"🤥 Illegal immigrants bring more crime 🐘" FACT CHECK: A DoJ 2020 study found that " Relative to undocumented immigrants, U.S.-born citizens are over 2 times more likely to be arrested for violent crimes, 2.5 times more likely to be arrested for drug crimes, and over 4 times more likely to be arrested for property crimes" - This study used Texas Department of Public Safety data and concluded that between 2012 - 2018: "the proportion of arrests involving undocumented immigrants in Texas was relatively stable or decreasing over this period." Still though, these conspiracies will continue to gain ground as the GOP repeats the hateful rhetoric around closing our borders or deporting our communities.
