Well done to our Marketing, Data, Product and Finance team who last week completed a 15-mile trek between five Ryburn Valley reservoirs in order to raise awareness and gather donations for Alzheimer's Society. The team are also proud to be Dementia Friends and have raised over £1000 so far for the charity! Hundreds of colleagues across JLA are also proud to be Dementia Friends, to help people living with dementia in our communities. A huge well done to our fantastic finance team for helping out at the Overgate Hospice donation centre last week! 👏 Overgate Hospice, are currently embarking on an extraordinary journey to transform end-of-life care in Calderdale. Their Big Build project aims to create a state-of-the-art hospice facility that meets the growing needs of the community and ensures every patient receives the compassionate care they deserve. We are super proud of our team for volunteering their time and skills, helping the hospice closer to their goal of building a new hospice for Calderdale! At JLA we believe in giving back to our community which is why we run our Make a Difference initiative. This is an initiative that allows colleagues the opportunity to use one working day, each year to volunteer in the community! It's great to see our team helping out at Horses and Ponies Protection Association, a non-profit organisation that gives a second chance to abused, neglected and unwanted equines ranging from Shetland Ponies to retired Racing Horses and Thoroughbreds. The team helped to paint some of the stables, stable doors and outside gates, along with jet-washing around the stables area. This helped to free up valuable time for the staff at HAPPA to concentrate their efforts on the Equines that need some hands-on engagement. A big thank you to all the volunteers and to HAPPA for welcoming the team and allowing them to help out!
