We are pleased to announce the addition of Matthew Peterson to the Jewel-Osco team as Director of Labor Relations! Matthew has more than ten years of experience in the law spectrum, specifically in labor and employment law. He was most recently at Liberty Coca-Cola Beverages and prior to that served as the Corporate Liaison for Legal Affairs and Labor Relations at Renali Enterprises. Additionally, Matthew served as the Employment and Labor Law Consultant at Diversified Holdings Group. He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. Matthew was a Juris Doctor Candidate at the Ave Maria School of Law and received his Bachelor of Law degree from the University of London School of Law. We are excited to announce the promotion of Grace Olsen, our new North Area HR Generalist! ✨ Grace started her career with Jewel-Osco in 2020 as a Deli clerk. As she gained experience within our stores she studied Marketing at DePaul University. In 2023, Grace was awarded the Jewel-Osco Scholarship and the position of Jewel-Osco Summer Business Intern. After the internship, Grace continued to work in our stores up until her graduation this year in July. Congratulations to Ricky Sookhoo who has been promoted to Jewel-Osco Center Store Operations Specialist for District 6. 🎉 Ricky joined the company in 2021 as a Store Director at the 424 W. Division Street, Chicago location followed by the Jewel-Osco at Kinze & Des Plaines, his most recent Chicago store. Prior to joining Jewel-Osco, he worked extensively in the grocery retail industry as a Store Director, Operational Effectiveness Specialist, and Inventory Specialist. Jewel-Osco is pleased to announce the promotion of Jason Leibrecht to Center Store Operations Specialist for District 10! Jason began his career with the company at the Plainfield, Illinois store in 2001 and after several years was named the Fuel Center Manager at one of the Naperville locations. From there he joined the Merchandising team and shortly thereafter moved back to retail as an Assistant Grocery Manager followed by Assistant Store Director and finally Store Director at several Illinois locations, including Bloomington, Lisle, and Westmont, where he oversaw the retail side of the Jewel-Osco Micro Fulfillment Center. We are pleased to announce the promotion of Anthony Burgo to the role of Store Director at the Jewel-Osco in West Dundee! 🎉 Anthony began his career at the company as a part-time cashier in 2004 at the Batavia store and several years later was promoted to Assistant Front End Manger and then Front-End Manager at the Jewel-Osco in DeKalb. Additionally, he helped train associates on internal company systems that were upgraded. Anthony was again promoted to Assistant Store Director, a position he held at several locations, most recently at the Jewel-Osco in Carol Stream.
