About us
Jewish Community Services (JCS) is a comprehensive non-profit human services agency of The Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore. We provide a broad array of services that respond to the diverse needs of individuals, families, and communities in the Greater Baltimore Region including mental health and psychiatric services; community-based and residential services for individuals with disabilities; emergency financial assistance for basic needs, case management and economic social work; services for older adults and caregivers; career and vocational services; psychoeducational workshops, support groups, and prevention education. JCS was launched in 2008 through the consolidation of four existing agencies, the oldest of which dated back to 1856. As stated in our mission, “Jewish Community Services (JCS) provides programs and services for people of all ages and backgrounds, helping them achieve their goals, enhance their wellbeing, and maximize their independence.” Our comprehensive services address needs of individuals and families throughout the lifecycle. While we primarily serve the Greater Baltimore Region, offering programs and services through remote means has enabled us to reach individuals in other U.S. states and even other countries.
