Design that Builds Community
About us
Since 1936, JCJ Architecture has built a practice on the union of business and art; an integration that combines our rigorous methods of management, the high standards of design and execution our projects achieve, and the kind of service our clients require and deserve. To be of service and value to our clients, we have developed a keen understanding of their respective businesses, of the challenges they face, and of their aspirations. We approach each project with extensive knowledge of its context and purpose, and with open and inquiring minds. Our experience does not give us predetermined answers—it enables us to ask the right questions. JCJ Architecture's teams of specialists focus on certain project types and execute them exceptionally well. Each of our core markets – education, hospitality, mixed-use, public safety, corporate, performing arts, -- is led by a nationally-renowned director supported by a depth of knowledge within our studios that allows us to provide focused expertise across the country. JCJ has launched a WELL-Environment Strategies Team, which will focus on implementing the WELL Building Standard®, the first protocol of its kind to focus on the health and wellness of occupants within the built environment. This standard identifies specific design strategies, performance targets, and operational policies that can enhance health and well-being when holistically integrated into building architecture and design. This team is led by three of the world's first Provisional WELL APs, professionally trained at the Cleveland Clinic. With offices in Hartford, New York, Boston, Phoenix, San Diego, Tulsa and Las Vegas, JCJ’s talented designers are supported by a business framework that gives structured freedom to their creativity and focus to their purpose: exceeding the objectives of our clients.

If you’d like to see what the Forever One Memorial will look like, we invite you to head to the ‘Remember 1 October’ exhibit at the Clark County Government Center’s Rotunda Gallery. A 3D model of the permanent memorial is the centerpiece of this year’s exhibit, which will be on display through October 10. The concept design from JCJ ARCHITECTURE showcases the memorial’s features, including 58 vertical candles representing the victims who died, a 58-foot-tall tower of light, and a community plaza. #ForeverOneMemorial #AlwaysRemember #NeverForget #VegasStrong

The future of education depends on our willingness to think creatively and embrace innovation at every level—whether it's designing the physical space, implementing new teaching methods, or creating environments that support student well-being. For school architects, educators, and interior designers, the challenge lies in staying AHEAD of the curve, seeking out NEW ideas, and always asking HOW we can make our schools better for the next generation of learners. In the end, the greatest innovation in school design is one that puts students at the center of the conversation—or as well like to call it—being #RadicallyStudentCentered™. Raymond C. On September 19th, JCJ’s Emily Czarnecki and James D'Amico, Principal of New Fairfield High School, presented at the Massachusetts Higher Education Consortium’s (MHEC) annual expo in Worcester, MA. James and Emily discussed the design process and the methodology used to gather real-time feedback on furniture test environments. They highlighted how input from students and teachers at NFHS influenced the selection process. With the completion of NFHS’s first year in the new space, attendees learned about initial results from an occupancy study conducted by VS Furniture. They also explored how New Fairfield High School is utilizing the new facility as a platform for teacher development and observed the project's impact on student well-being, academic achievement, and school culture.

A heartfelt thank you to all our industry partners and friends who supported Team JCJ Architecture in this year’s San Diego Heart and Stroke Walk! Your generosity and commitment made a significant impact. Our team, led by Robert (Bob) Gdowski, AIA, showed up in full force to support the American Heart Association as they celebrated 100 years of making a difference. We’re thrilled to announce that we ranked among the Top 10 fundraising teams! Your contributions helped us reach this milestone, and we are grateful for your support.

JCJ had a great time partnering with the Vegas Strong Fund, Burke Construction Group, and The Abbi Agency for the annual Vegas Strong 5K/1M Run. This event was not just about running; it was a heartfelt celebration of community spirit and resilience, honoring the anniversary of One October and paying tribute to the survivors and first responders. Participants of all ages, including JCJ staff, their families, and significant others, came together to support this meaningful cause. The event fostered connections and showcased our strength as a united Las Vegas community - we are grateful to have been a part of such an impactful day.
