Empowering underserved Idahoans to realize economic mobility through individualized services and support.
About us
EO works to empower underserved Idahoans to realize economic mobility through providing individualized services and support. Through our loan funds, one-on-one coaching, technical support, and training - we focus on creating lasting socioeconomic change for all community members and our local economy. EO's services include small personal and emergency loans, business loans, credit education, one-on-one coaching, business development, and childcare business development. EO Microlending EO offers microlending options to help underserved individuals, families and communities build assets while creating pathways to the financial mainstream. EO Refugee Child Care Business Development RCBD helps refugees, primarily women, become economically self-sufficient by opening in-home childcares that provide culturally sensitive, affordable and safe care for children. EO Business Development EO provides business support services to help socially and economically disadvantaged individuals and families increase household income and improve financial security through self-employment. EO Credit Building EO helps clients build and maintain good credit by providing credit education, one-on-one credit coaching, and credit builder tools – a strategy that helps people to lay the foundation for financial resiliency.

Some members of the Economic Opportunity Team get to have all the fun! Jessica Hope partnered with #BoiseBicycleProject and distributed bikes to our Refugee Childcare Providers and their kiddos. Things are about to change in this neighborhood! Thank you Boise Bicycle Project, for all you do, and for bringing joy to the members of our Refugee Childcare Business Development program.

Sharing gratitude for the amazing event hosted by Yoga for Good this weekend! Economic Opportunity (EO) was honored to be the chosen beneficiary of their Donation Based yoga session, wand it was a packed house! As someone who regularly joins these fantastic community gatherings, I've always admired how Mary and Jamie, in collaboration with Payette Brewing, create such a welcoming environment. It's not just about the great yoga – it's also a chance to connect with and learn about various local nonprofits making a difference in our community. This time, being on the receiving end was an especially fun experience. It gave us the opportunity to share EO's mission and how we're committed to empowering individuals to achieve economic mobility. A big thank you to Yoga for Good and Payette Brewing for not only providing a space for wellness and relaxation but also for supporting local organizations like ours.
