Mauro Aprile Zanetti, aka MAZ, a dear and longtime friend of the IIC San Francisco, visited us recently to meet our new Director, Alberta Lai, and discuss strategic initiatives for potential collaborations between the IIC and some of the major international multimedia cultural organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area. Mauro is a global multimedia brand strategist and American liaison for all Italian culture-related matters in the San Francisco Bay Area. We are proud of Mauro’s acknowledgements by the Italian and US media, such as la Repubblica, Il Sole 24 Ore, Corriere della Sera, SF Chronicle, RaiIT, as well as by major international cultural institutions. Highly engaged in the AI debate, MAZ is the Chief Business Evangelist at Cloud4Wi, aiming at the humanization of technology by leveraging tech for good, ethics, and digital storytelling. Among his achievements are the collaboration with legendary publisher, activist, poet and artist Lawrence Ferlinghetti; his communications support to computer scientist and inventor Federico Faggin; his pivotal contribution as a multimedia communications, and philanthropy strategist to the internationally renowned philanthropist Maria Manetti Shrem, making a difference in some of the globe’s top charitable organizations that foster education, the arts and medicine across the US, Italy and the UK.
