Today's FFA members are tomorrow's Farm Bureau leaders! We're grateful for our strong partnership with Iowa FFA, and today we had the opportunity to host members of the Iowa FFA state officer team at the Iowa Farm Bureau building. The state officer team had a chance to visit with Farm Bureau staff and leaders, learning about the many ways our organization serves agriculture and the entire state.

Earlier this week, we were in Ames celebrating Iowa agriculture’s bright 𝙛𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 with Iowa FFA students. Today, we were at Living History Farms, helping preserve agriculture’s rich 𝙝𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮! Nearly 60 Iowa Farm Bureau staff members participated in today’s volunteer event — painting, cleaning, landscaping, replacing old boardwalk boards and tackling other projects to help Living History Farms prepare for guests this spring.

Food brings our communities together. No one understands that better than farm families. During National Agriculture Week and in early 2024, 20 county Farm Bureaus donated more than $44,000 to their local food pantries. From “Cram the Cab” promotions to “grocery cart races” at local supermarkets, county Farm Bureaus across the state organized a variety of creative initiatives to generate needed donations for food-insecure families.

Today was 𝙛𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙙 with growth and opportunities for Iowa’s farmers! Nearly 300 attendees gathered in Ottumwa for Iowa Farm Bureau’s annual Acres of Opportunity Conference, to learn about a wide range of diverse farming options, including flowers, specialty meat markets, small grains, meat birds, popcorn and more! We’re excited to see how today’s attendees adapt and develop their farms in the months and years to come!
