Let’s build the pipeline of future teachers! Gov. Kim Reynolds recently announced a new #grant opportunity aimed at launching #careers in #education. This funding will support the development of new teacher programs in school districts across #Iowa. Grant applications are now open and will close on December 2, 2024, at 2:00 PM. Awarded school districts could claim up to $9,500 per eligible apprentice each semester with up to a maximum apprentice amount of $38,000. September’s #workforce numbers are here, and Iowa’s unemployment rate held steady at 2.9%. The state’s labor force remained at the same level with the labor force participation rate at 66.3%.
