🌐UNLEASHING THE POWER OF THE PRIVATE SECTOR 🌐 Download here ▶ https://lnkd.in/df-RNNx Our team in the 🇬🇪 #RepublicofGeorgia outlined several crucial points about the economic situation in the emerging markets and developing countries of Europe and Central Asia (ECA) based on this report from The World Bank 📈 Growth Trends: The increase in growth from 1.5 percent in 2022 to 3.3 percent in the previous year signifies a positive shift from contraction to expansion in key countries like the Russian Federation and Ukraine. Additionally, Central Asia saw a more robust recovery. However, growth rates excluding Russia and Ukraine weakened due to various factors such as a slowdown in major trading partners and financial tightening. 🎈 Inflation Dynamics: Inflation, which was a significant concern in 2022, has declined sharply due to lower global food and energy prices and tighter monetary policies. While this decline in inflation is positive, it's noted that price levels remain considerably higher than in previous years, continuing to impact households despite increases in real incomes. 💹 Economic Outlook: While economic activity in the region is expected to remain resilient, the projection is for slower growth in the upcoming years. Factors contributing to this include a weaker global economy, slowdown in China, and lower commodity prices. Additionally, regional growth is expected to slow down, primarily due to weaker expansions in Russia and Ukraine, and moderation in growth in countries like Turkeye. 🗻 Key Challenges: The passage highlights several headwinds that could dampen the economic outlook, including a slower-than-expected recovery in key trading partners, restrictive monetary policies, and geopolitical tensions. Fiscal consolidations are also mentioned as essential for maintaining fiscal space and controlling borrowing costs. 🗺 Regional Variances: There are regional differences in growth prospects, with Central Europe and the Western Balkans expected to see strong growth due to factors like EU funds boosting investment. However, Central Asia and the South Caucasus might experience declines in growth due to easing remittances. Overall, this passage underscores the importance of monitoring and addressing various economic factors to sustain growth and stability in the ECA region, considering both internal and external challenges.

🇬🇪 Our team in #Tblisi was in attendance for the ADB’s 57th Annual Meeting in Tbilisi, where we're exploring the future with a focus on leveraging AI to tackle today's pressing challenges, from combating rising heat stress to improving food security amidst climate change impacts. 🤖 As we delve into the role of #AI in shaping our region's future, we're examining its potential to address issues such as food insecurity and aging populations. 🌏 But as we embrace AI's transformative power, we must ensure equitable access. Patchy digital infrastructure shouldn't create a digital divide. ADB and partners are committed to ensuring AI's inclusive deployment across developing Asia, driving progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals. We continue to strive to create new technologies that work for everyone. #ADBAnnualMeeting #AIforGood #ICT4DAI. Pictured below are(left to right)Chantale Wong, Tea Alania and Irina Gotsiridze

Repesenting ACRUX and engaging with our consortium IOS Partners and PortExpertise this was a personal milestone as this could bring digitization and improvement in one of most crucial functions of our country i-e port and shipping

🌀 IOS Partners, Inc. was contracted by the Millennium Challenge Account Lesotho II to identify, attract, and qualify potential foreign and domestic investors into the four (4) irrigation schemes that will be constructed and financed under the USD 118.6 million fund for the Market Driven Irrigated Horticulture (MDIH) Project. The MDIH Project aims to develop up to 2,000 hectares of irrigated land and support ancillary infrastructure such as access 🛣roads, ⚡power and 🚰 water distribution. 🇱🇸 This project was undertaken between December 2022 and December 2023, period in which IOS Partners worked in updating the database of investors; devising a strategy for sensitization and engagement of investors about the opportunities in the MDIH Project; drafting a “Call for Investors” document containing detailed information on the investment opportunity; engaging private sector investors along the horticulture value chain and the public sector on the design and outcomes of the irrigation feasibility study; undertaking briefing of investors in the form of roundtable discussions, launching events, media communications and press releases; consolidating feedback from potential investors on the legal and policy framework governing investment in agriculture and making recommendations to ease of participation of foreign investors in the Compact; organizing a SWOT Analysis Workshop with regulators to collectively deliberate on how to leverage Lesotho’s competitive advantages in agriculture and how regulatory weaknesses can be addressed; and soliciting investment pledges and assisting potential investors in submitting their Letters of Intent. ✍ The IOS Partners’ team finalized this assignment with a total of nineteen (19) Letters of Intent received from potential Anchor Farmer Investors expressing their interest in the MDIH Project opportunity. IOS Partners is confident that the irrigation schemes will offer highly competitive rates for land, water, and power to investors; whose participation in the MDIH Project will in turn contribute to improving the quality and value of agricultural value chains in Lesotho, while empowering small-scale enterprises and the youth, and thus benefiting the economy as a whole. Thank you to all of our experts and special recognition to Florencia Solano, for her hard work and dedication to this important project.
