🌍 Grateful for an Incredible evening at our inaugural Investors for Climate #SGX Summit 2024! 🌱 Last night, we had the privilege of welcoming nearly 100 family offices, venture capitalists, private equity investors, sustainability entrepreneurs and World Economic Forum Young Global Leaders to the Investors for Climate #SGXSummit at the Singapore Exchange. It was inspiring to host so many visionary minds united by a shared commitment to advancing sustainable finance and impactful investments. The evening was packed with thought-provoking speeches, a panel discussion, dynamic startup pitches, and a curated networking session. A special thank you to Natasha Latiff, #WEF Young Global Leader, for her powerful keynote on The Role of Investors in Driving Climate and Social Equity. She urged investors to embed human rights considerations into climate investments, ensuring that the transition to green energy not only benefits the planet but also uplifts vulnerable communities, fostering a just and sustainable future. We gained insights from leading experts like Dr Darian McBain, Mark Dalio, En Lee, and Herry Cho, who shared their perspectives on the key differences between sustainable and traditional investing, the tangible impacts of successful impact investing, and what a greener—and bluer—future could look like. Their discussions also touched on the role their organisations play in driving impact, the challenges facing sustainable investments, and the strategies needed to scale and mobilize capital, with a special focus on the sustainable ocean economy. A heartfelt thank you to our co-host Pol de Win and to SGX Group for their invaluable support in making this event a reality. We are also deeply grateful to the innovative startups— Quantum Brilliance, N&E Innovations Pte Ltd, and ZeroAvia—for showcasing their trailblazing solutions that are shaping the future of sustainability.
